Q: What typically fits inside the Loewe Anagram Hobo?
A: With approximate measurements of 30 x 30 x 9 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials: a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft sleeve, a small cosmetics pouch, an A5 diary/notebook and a tablet. Bulky water bottles and thick pouches can reduce ease of closing the zip. Please refer to the Measurements on this page or contact us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a tablet or laptop?
A: Standard tablets (e.g., iPad, iPad Air/11-inch) typically fit. A 13-inch laptop is generally a squeeze due to the curved zip opening and hobo silhouette; slim devices may fit without a thick sleeve, but it’s not ideal for daily laptop carry. Compare your device’s dimensions with the Measurements shown or ask us to perform a quick fit check for this item.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: This bag features a single adjustable flat shoulder strap. For this piece, the strap drop is approximately 28 cm, which is ideal for shoulder carry; it’s typically too short for comfortable crossbody wear on most people. Adjustment provides minor changes to the drop—if you’d like us to confirm how it sits on you, just ask.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: The top zip closure provides good everyday security. Inside, there’s a brown fabric lining with one internal pocket. Our listing photos show the exact configuration of this bag.

Q: What materials and hardware does this piece have, and where is it made?
A: This vintage Anagram Hobo is crafted from Loewe’s Anagram coated canvas with brown leather trim, silver‑tone hardware and a brown fabric lining. It is stamped Made in Spain. The photos and description show the precise finish and details of this item.

Q: How should I care for the coated canvas, leather trim and hardware?
A: Coated canvas is durable—wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Keep leather trim away from moisture, oils and prolonged sunlight, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim. Use a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner very sparingly and test first on a discreet area. Store the bag lightly stuffed, upright, in a breathable dust bag; avoid overfilling to preserve zip alignment. Protect hardware from rubbing during storage to minimise hairline scratches.

Q: What wear patterns are typical on Anagram coated canvas and leather trim?
A: Coated canvas resists scratches well, though corner/edge wear can develop with regular use. Leather trim may show scuffs and develop a gentle patina over time. For this specific piece, we note Very Good condition with light traces of use inside and out, and shiny hardware with light scratches—please see our photos for details.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and how is dating handled for Loewe bags?
A: Authentic Loewe bags usually feature a “LOEWE” heat stamp and a country‑of‑origin mark (commonly Spain) inside. Many have a serial or production code, often on a small leather tab or along an interior seam; placement and format vary by era. We’re happy to share close‑up photos and help interpret the markings for this exact item.

Q: Is the Anagram Hobo still produced?
A: Loewe’s Anagram motif is ongoing, but specific hobo configurations like this vintage Classic variant may be discontinued. The pre‑loved market is the best way to find particular sizes, canvases and hardware finishes.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: Accessories for this listing: none (no accessories are included). Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps/serial code and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell.
