Q: Will my 15-inch laptop fit this sleeve?
A: The sleeve measures approximately 35 × 25.5 × 2.5 cm and is designed for 15-inch devices. As a reference, the MacBook Pro 15-inch (2016–2019) is about 34.93 × 24.07 × 1.55 cm and should fit. The 16-inch MacBook Pro is around 35.79 × 24.59 × 1.62 cm and is likely too wide. Please compare your device’s exact dimensions and allow a little tolerance for the lining and zip-around construction.

Q: Will it fit my laptop if I use a hard shell or protective case?
A: Slim shells usually add 1–2 mm, which may still fit if your device is well within the sleeve’s measurements. Bulky cases can exceed the width or height and make the zip difficult to close, so measure your device including the case before purchasing.

Q: Is the sleeve padded or shockproof?
A: It is a structured, slim sleeve in Epi leather with a soft microfibre lining that protects against scratches. It is not a padded or impact-resistant case. For drop protection, use this sleeve inside a padded briefcase or backpack.

Q: How water-resistant is Epi leather?
A: Epi leather is known for its durable, textured finish and good resistance to light moisture. However, the sleeve is not waterproof. Wipe away any rain promptly and avoid soaking; allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat.

Q: How should I clean and care for the leather and lining?
A: For Epi leather, gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners. Let it air dry away from sunlight, which can fade the colour. The microfibre lining can be lightly brushed or vacuumed with a clean nozzle to remove dust. Store the sleeve loosely stuffed and in a breathable dust bag to help maintain its shape.

Q: What does the date code TN3148 indicate?
A: TN is a French factory code. With post-2007 Louis Vuitton date codes, the first and third numbers denote the week and the second and fourth the year, so 3148 decodes to the 34th week of 2018. Date codes are production references, not serial numbers, and on their own do not authenticate an item.

Q: Does this item include a strap, pockets, or additional accessories?
A: No. This is a minimalist zip-around sleeve without a strap or extra pockets. The listing states no accessories; items like a dust bag or box are not included unless explicitly listed.

Q: What is the condition of this sleeve?
A: Very Good overall. The exterior shows slightly scuffed corners, and the interior has light traces of use. Please review the photos for the most accurate view of wear.

Q: How does A Retro Tale verify authenticity?
A: All items are rigorously vetted by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and date codes. We stand behind the authenticity of everything we sell and can provide further details on request.
