Q: What size is this necklace and where will it sit when worn?
A: The necklace perimeter is approximately 41 cm, which is about 16.1 inches, so it is designed to sit close to the collarbone on most wearers. The main motif measures about 2.5 x 1.5 cm. Fit can vary slightly depending on neck size.

Q: What design details does this piece feature?
A: This vintage Louis Vuitton necklace features silver-tone hardware, rhinestone embellishments, a Blossom motif and an LV drop charm detail. It is a statement piece with a refined, dressy finish.

Q: What condition is the necklace in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The hardware remains shiny overall with light scratches, which is consistent with gentle pre-loved wear.

Q: Does it come with any original packaging or extras?
A: According to the product information, this item comes with no additional inclusions. If you are hoping for a box, pouch or authenticity card, those are not listed for this piece.

Q: What is this necklace made from?
A: The product information describes silver-tone hardware and rhinestone embellishments, but does not specify the exact base metal. For that reason, it is best treated like delicate fashion jewellery rather than solid precious-metal fine jewellery.

Q: Can the finish dull or tarnish over time?
A: Yes. As with many fashion jewellery pieces, silver-tone finishes can lose some lustre or oxidise over time, especially if exposed to perfume, lotions, water, sweat, humidity or frequent rubbing. Rhinestone-set pieces also benefit from careful handling to help protect the stones and their settings.

Q: How should I clean and store it?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store it separately in a dry place away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight. Avoid soaking it, using harsh cleaners or spraying perfume directly onto the necklace.

Q: Is this necklace suitable for layering?
A: Yes. At 41 cm, it works well as a shorter necklace and can be layered with slightly longer chains for a stacked look. To help preserve the finish, avoid heavy friction against other jewellery.

Q: How do you authenticate pre-loved Louis Vuitton jewellery?
A: At A Retro Tale, items are vetted by in-house experts. When assessing pre-loved Louis Vuitton jewellery, specialists typically review details such as markings, hardware quality, finishing, motif execution and overall construction.
