Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Mahina Galatea PM Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 30 x 22 x 25 cm, this is a practical everyday size. It should comfortably hold daily essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, cosmetics pouch and a small tablet or compact notebook, depending on how you pack. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact dimensions of this specific item.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes, for many people it can. This Galatea PM has dual leather handles and the listed drop is approximately 18 cm, so it may sit on the shoulder as well as be carried in the hand or on the arm. Fit can vary depending on your frame and what you are wearing.

Q: Is the Mahina leather delicate?
A: Mahina leather is one of Louis Vuitton’s soft, supple perforated calf leathers, so it should be treated with a little more care than coated canvas. Avoid rough surfaces, rain, oils, perfume, sanitiser and prolonged direct sunlight. For light surface marks, wipe gently with a soft cloth and store it in a breathable dust bag when not in use.

Q: Does Mahina leather scratch easily?
A: Because the leather is soft and supple, it can show marks more readily than more rigid materials. This is normal for the Mahina line and part of its gently slouchy, luxurious character. On this particular bag, the exterior is in very good condition overall with light traces of use and some minor scratches on the back.

Q: Is the Galatea PM heavy for everyday use?
A: It is generally considered an everyday-size bag, but Mahina leather styles can feel a little weighty once filled because of the leather body, zip hardware and padlock details. If you carry only daily essentials it should remain comfortable, but it may feel heavier if overpacked.

Q: Does this style keep its shape or become slouchy over time?
A: The Galatea PM is known for a soft, relaxed structure rather than a rigid silhouette. With use, Mahina leather usually becomes even more supple, so some natural slouch is expected. To help maintain the shape, avoid overfilling and store it lightly stuffed when not in use.

Q: What does the code AR2191 mean?
A: AR2191 is Louis Vuitton’s date code, not a unique serial number. AR indicates production in France, and the numbers correspond to the 29th week of 2011. Date codes are helpful for identifying production period, but they are only one part of a full authenticity assessment.

Q: What product information is included with this bag?

Q: What are the interior details of this bag?
A: This bag features a zip closure and a brown microfiber lining with internal pockets, making it practical for organising daily essentials while keeping the contents secure.
