Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Housse Porte Habits?
A: This garment cover is designed to elegantly transport two suits, dresses, or formal outfits. It comes with two hangers included. The interior is spacious enough to keep your garments protected and relatively wrinkle‑free during travel. Please refer to the Measurements (approx. 60 × 50 × 7 cm when folded) for tailored fit advice.

Q: Can I use this as carry‑on luggage?
A: At approximately 60 cm in width, this bag slightly exceeds the standard carry‑on limit for many airlines (often 55 cm). While soft garment bags can sometimes be accommodated in overhead lockers depending on the aircraft and airline leniency, we recommend checking with your carrier before flying. It is an exceptional choice for car, train, or private travel.

Q: How is the bag carried and does it fold?
A: The Housse Porte Habits is designed to be carried by hand using the dual rolled Vachetta leather handles. It features a smart design that allows the full‑length cover to fold in half and secure, making it compact and easy to handle during transit.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The cover features a full zip‑around closure to protect your garments. This specific piece includes a padlock and keys, allowing you to lock the zipper pulls for added security during your journey.

Q: What is the condition of the Vachetta leather?
A: As a vintage piece, the Vachetta cowhide leather on this item shows a visible patina (the darkening that occurs with age) along with watermarks and scuffing on the handles and trim. This honey‑toned ageing is characteristic of authentic, well‑loved Louis Vuitton pieces. Our listing photos show the exact condition of this item.

Q: When and where was this specific item made?
A: This piece features the date code SP0023, indicating it was manufactured in France in February 2003. You will find the date code stamped inside the bag.

Q: How should I care for the Monogram Canvas and Vachetta leather?
A: Monogram coated canvas is durable and water‑resistant—simply wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. The Vachetta leather is untreated and sensitive to moisture, oils, and sunlight. To preserve its current condition, avoid direct contact with water or hand creams. If it gets wet, blot gently with a light-coloured, absorbent cloth and allow it to air‑dry.

Q: What accessories are included with this piece?
A: This listing includes two hangers, a padlock, and keys. Any other accessories not mentioned in the “Accessories” section are not included. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts.
