Q: What size is the Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 45, and what typically fits inside?
A: This bag measures approximately 45 x 26 x 20 cm, making it a practical size for an overnight stay or a light weekend away. It will usually hold a couple of outfits, toiletries, a pair of shoes, and small travel essentials such as a tablet or book. Capacity can vary depending on how you pack, so please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is the Keepall 45 suitable for cabin baggage?
A: Yes, the 45 size is generally considered cabin-friendly and is widely used as hand luggage for short trips. That said, baggage rules can vary between airlines, especially on budget carriers or smaller aircraft, so it is always best to check your airline’s latest size limits before travelling.

Q: Does this specific bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: This particular piece is listed with a name tag and handle holder only. Although Keepall Bandoulière models are designed to be worn with a removable strap, a shoulder strap is not included with this item unless shown in the product information.

Q: Can this bag be carried by hand only?
A: Yes. With its dual rolled handles and an approximate handle drop of 10 cm, this piece works well as a handheld weekender or travel bag. If you prefer shoulder carry, please note that a strap is not included with this specific item.

Q: What materials is this bag made from?
A: This Keepall is crafted in Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas with natural leather trim, brass hardware, a brown canvas lining, and a two-way zip closure. The canvas is known for being lightweight and durable, while the untreated leather trim develops a darker patina over time.

Q: What does the code FL0033 mean?
A: FL0033 is a Louis Vuitton date code rather than a unique serial number. It indicates production in France in March 2003. Date codes help indicate where and when a piece was made, but they are only one part of the authentication process.

Q: Are the patina, watermarks, and scuffs on the leather normal for a vintage Keepall?
A: Yes. Louis Vuitton’s natural vachetta leather is untreated, so it darkens with age and can develop watermarks, scuffs, and a warm honey-brown patina over time. On this bag, the exterior is rated Very Good, with visible patina, watermarks, and scuffing on the trim, which is consistent with age and careful use.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Monogram Keepall?
A: Wipe the canvas gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, heavy rain, and prolonged direct sunlight. The natural leather trim should be handled gently, as aggressive cleaning can dry or crack older leather. For storage, keep the bag lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag to help maintain its shape.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This piece includes a name tag and a handle holder. If an item such as a shoulder strap, padlock, keys, box, or dust bag is not shown in the product information, it should be assumed not to be included.
