Q: Is this Omega Constellation a quartz watch?
A: Yes. This is a quartz Omega Constellation, reference 396.1070, dating to around 1990. A quartz movement is battery-powered and is appreciated for its convenience, accuracy, and low day-to-day upkeep compared with a mechanical watch.

Q: What size is this watch, and how does it wear?
A: The case measures 33 mm. For a vintage dressier Omega, that gives it a refined and classic wrist presence rather than an oversized look. It suits collectors who appreciate elegant proportions and a more understated fit.

Q: What wrist size will it fit?
A: According to the product information, the bracelet fits a wrist up to 18 cm and comes with 2 extra links. This is helpful if you need a little more flexibility when sizing the bracelet.

Q: Is the bracelet adjustable?
A: Yes. The integrated bracelet can be sized by adjusting or adding/removing links. This watch comes with spare links, and professional sizing is recommended to avoid damage to the bracelet or clasp.

Q: Is this watch water resistant?
A: The Omega reference is associated with an original water-resistance rating of 3 bar (30 metres). However, because this is a vintage watch, water resistance should never be assumed unless it has been freshly pressure-tested. We recommend avoiding swimming, showering, or prolonged contact with water.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition overall, with light traces of use. The internal condition is very good, and the case and bracelet show scratches consistent with careful wear over time. Please review the images and product information for the clearest impression of its current state.

Q: What is included with the watch?
A: This watch comes with spare links. Everything included with the piece is shown in the product information; if an item is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How often will a quartz Omega need servicing or a battery change?
A: Quartz watches are generally straightforward to live with, but they still benefit from periodic professional attention. Battery life varies by use and movement condition, and when the battery is depleted it should be replaced promptly by a qualified watchmaker to help protect the movement and seals.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Omega Constellation quartz watch?
A: Store it in a dry place, keep it away from strong magnets and hard knocks, and wipe the case and bracelet gently with a soft cloth after wear. Because it is a vintage piece, it is best to avoid moisture and to have battery changes and any servicing carried out by a professional familiar with luxury watches.

Q: How do you authenticate this watch?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully reviewed for authenticity. For a watch like this, that includes checking details such as the reference, design features, movement type, materials, finishing, and overall consistency with known Omega production for the period.
