Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Raffia Canapa Tote?
A: With approximate measurements of 35 × 25 × 16 cm, it comfortably carries everyday essentials such as a phone, long wallet, sunglasses case, small water bottle, cosmetic pouch, and an iPad or small tablet. A4 documents can be placed horizontally. A slim 13‑inch laptop may fit, but due to the raffia construction and open top we recommend using a padded sleeve and exercising care—this bag is best for lighter loads.

Q: Does this bag have a closure?
A: It has an open top. For security, use the interior zip pocket and slip pockets for smaller valuables and consider a zipped pouch for travel or busy commutes.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody?
A: This piece includes a detachable canvas shoulder strap with an approximate 40 cm drop. It wears best as a shoulder bag; the drop is generally shorter than a typical crossbody on most heights. Please refer to the Measurements and photos for how it sits on you.

Q: How delicate is raffia—can I use it in light rain or at the beach?
A: Raffia is a natural fibre and is not water‑resistant. Avoid rain, splashes, wet sand and contact with lotions or sunscreen. If it becomes damp, blot gently and let it air‑dry away from heat and direct sunlight. For beach days, keep liquids in sealed pouches and avoid placing the bag on wet surfaces.

Q: How should I clean and care for a raffia bag?
A: Dust with a soft brush or dry cloth. For minor marks, dab (don’t rub) with a barely damp cloth and a tiny amount of mild soap if needed, then wipe with clean water and air‑dry. Do not soak or machine‑wash. Store it lightly stuffed to maintain shape, in a breathable dust bag, and keep it away from humidity and prolonged sunlight. Avoid overloading to prevent stretching.

Q: Will the raffia snag or fray with use?
A: Some lift or fraying of fibres can occur over time, especially around the handles and corners. Minimise contact with rough surfaces and sharp jewellery. If a strand lifts, do not pull it—gently trim loose fibres with small scissors or consult a professional bag care specialist.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: Very good overall. The raffia on the handle is frayed, the lining shows some light stains, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please review all photos and measurements for the best overview.

Q: What items are included with this purchase?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information on this page. For this item, a detachable shoulder strap is provided. If a dust bag, card or other item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this Prada bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously checked by in‑house experts with over 10 years of experience and verified with a respected third‑party authentication tool. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
