Q: What size is this TAG Heuer Professional 1000 watch?
A: This watch has a 37 mm case, which gives it a versatile vintage sports-watch look on the wrist. It also comes on a bracelet that fits a wrist of up to approximately 18 cm. Please refer to the product information for the most accurate sizing details.

Q: Is this watch quartz or automatic?
A: This particular TAG Heuer Professional 1000 is a quartz watch from around 1990. Quartz movements are valued for their accuracy, convenience, and low day-to-day maintenance compared with mechanical watches.

Q: Is the TAG Heuer Professional 1000 considered a dive watch?
A: Yes, the Professional 1000 line is known as TAG Heuer’s vintage dive-watch series, and examples of reference 980.613N are commonly associated with 200 m water-resistance specifications. That said, with any vintage watch, water resistance should never be assumed unless it has been recently pressure tested.

Q: Can I swim with this vintage watch?
A: We recommend caution. Even though this model line was originally designed as a dive watch, TAG Heuer notes that water resistance cannot be permanently guaranteed because seals and components age over time. If you plan to expose it to water, it is best to have it checked by a qualified watchmaker first.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: According to the product information, it is in Very Good Condition, with light traces of use. There are also scratches on the case and bracelet, which is consistent with normal wear for a vintage watch of this age.

Q: Does this watch come with box, papers, or other extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this piece comes with no accessories. If any item is not listed in the product information, it should be considered not included.

Q: Why is the TAG Heuer 1000 series popular with collectors?
A: The TAG Heuer 1000 series is an important vintage line in the brand’s history and helped establish the design language for many later TAG Heuer dive watches. Collectors are often drawn to these models for their classic tool-watch styling, approachable size, and strong 1980s–1990s character.

Q: How should I care for a vintage quartz TAG Heuer?
A: Clean it gently with a soft dry cloth, avoid unnecessary shocks, and keep the crown properly secured after any adjustment. For long-term care, periodic battery changes and water-resistance checks by a professional are recommended, especially if the watch may be exposed to moisture.

Q: Is 37 mm a good size for everyday wear?
A: For many buyers, yes. A 37 mm case wears neatly and comfortably, especially if you prefer a classic vintage proportion rather than a modern oversized sports watch. It is often seen as an easy everyday size that suits a wide range of wrists.
