Q: What size is this Breitling Superocean, and how does it wear on the wrist?
A: This watch has a 36 mm case, making it a strong choice if you prefer a sport watch with a more compact fit. It offers the look and capability of a dive watch without wearing overly large, and this specific piece is listed as fitting a 22 cm wrist or smaller.

Q: Is the Breitling Superocean 36 suitable for swimming and water use?
A: Yes. The Superocean 36 is part of Breitling’s dive-watch family and is designed for serious water resistance. As with any watch, we recommend ensuring the crown is properly secured and having water resistance checked periodically, especially before regular swimming or holiday use.

Q: What movement does this watch use?
A: The Superocean 36 in this generation uses an automatic self-winding mechanical movement from Breitling’s Superocean line. That means it is powered by wrist motion during wear, rather than by a battery.

Q: What is included with this watch?
A: This piece comes as a full set with box and certificate. For this listing, please refer to the product information section for the exact included contents.

Q: What is the condition of this specific watch?
A: This watch is described as being in excellent condition overall, with light traces of use externally. The internal condition is noted as excellent, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: Is this watch really never used if there are light traces of use mentioned?
A: The listing title describes it as never used, while the condition notes mention light traces of use. In practice, this usually means the watch presents in excellent overall condition with only very minor signs from handling, storage, display, or careful inspection. Please review the photos closely for the best understanding of its current appearance.

Q: Is 36 mm too small for a men’s Breitling watch?
A: Not at all. While many modern dive watches are larger, 36 mm is a versatile size that suits buyers who prefer a neater, lighter, and more understated fit. It can work especially well on smaller wrists or for anyone who wants a classic sport-watch proportion rather than an oversized look.

Q: Can the strap or bracelet be changed on a Superocean 36?
A: Yes, many owners choose to change between different compatible strap styles depending on how they want the watch to wear. As always, fit depends on the exact case and lug specifications, so any replacement should be selected specifically for the Superocean 36 reference.

Q: How should I care for this watch after purchase?
A: To keep it looking its best, rinse the case gently with fresh water after saltwater exposure, dry it with a soft cloth, and avoid knocks, chemicals, or extreme heat. For long-term performance, regular servicing and periodic water-resistance checks are recommended, particularly if you plan to use it in water frequently.

Q: How do you authenticate this Breitling watch?
A: Every watch sold by A Retro Tale is carefully checked for authenticity. This example also includes its certificate, and the listing provides the reference number A17377 and serial number 6869150 for added identification.
