BvlgariCarbon Gold Genève 38mm Ref BB38CLCH Full Set Watch

Q: What is the Bvlgari Bulgari Bulgari Carbon Gold Genève 38mm Ref BB38CLCH?
A: It’s a Swiss‑made Bulgari Bulgari chronograph with a 38mm case, combining a black carbon case with 18k yellow gold crown and pushers, a signature engraved BVLGARI bezel, black dial with three gold‑tone sub‑dials, and a date display. It comes on a black leather strap and is delivered as a full set with original box and booklets.

Q: What movement does this model use (quartz or automatic)?
A: The BB38CLCH has been produced in different configurations over time, including quartz chronograph and automatic variants. To confirm the exact calibre in this specific watch, please contact us and we will verify it for you before purchase.

Q: How do I operate the chronograph and set the time/date safely?
A: Typically, the top pusher starts/stops the chronograph and the lower pusher resets it—never press reset while the chronograph is running. To set the time/date, pull the crown out gently: one click usually adjusts the date, two clicks set the time. Avoid changing the date between approximately 8pm and 2am to protect the mechanism. If the watch is automatic, a few turns of the crown will wind it; quartz versions do not require winding. If you’re unsure which movement yours has, ask us and we’ll guide you.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I swim with it?
A: Vintage water resistance cannot be guaranteed. Treat it as splash‑resistant at best unless the watch has been freshly serviced, re‑sealed and pressure‑tested by a qualified watchmaker. Avoid swimming, showering, or submersion, and never operate the pushers under water.

Q: What is included with this watch?
A: This piece is delivered as a full set: original box and booklets are included, as stated in the listing’s Accessories section.

Q: Will the 38mm case suit my wrist, and is it unisex?
A: 38mm offers a balanced, contemporary‑vintage presence that suits many small to medium wrists and wears well on larger wrists seeking a classic proportion. While listed under men’s watches, it can be worn unisex depending on personal style. Share your wrist measurement and we’ll advise on fit and strap options.

Q: What materials are used and how durable is the carbon case?
A: The watch features a black carbon case with 18k yellow gold crown and pushers, plus a leather strap. Carbon cases are lightweight and resistant to everyday wear; however, they can mark if subjected to heavy knocks or abrasives. Avoid harsh chemicals and solvents, and store away from extremes of heat and strong UV.

Q: Does it have a sapphire crystal?
A: Many Bulgari Bulgari chronograph models from this era feature sapphire crystals, but specifics can vary by production. We can confirm the crystal type on this exact watch upon request.

Q: How should I care for the watch and when should it be serviced?
A: Wipe the case and bezel with a soft microfibre cloth; for the leather strap, use a gentle leather conditioner and keep it dry. Keep the watch away from strong magnets and chemicals. Automatic versions typically benefit from servicing every 5–10 years depending on use; quartz versions usually need a battery change every 2–3 years. Have gaskets checked periodically if light splash resistance is desired.

Q: Is this a limited edition and how do you guarantee authenticity?
A: This example is numbered 17/999, indicating a limited series. A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage accessories and professionally authenticates every item. We own our listed watches and provide a 12‑month mechanical guarantee, secure insured DHL delivery, and a 14‑day return policy.
