Chanel2.55 Reissue 227 Double Flap Bag

Q: How does the Chanel 2.55 Reissue differ from the Classic Flap?
A: The 2.55 Reissue is distinguished by its rectangular Mademoiselle turn-lock and all-metal chain, rather than the interlocking CC clasp and leather-threaded chain associated with the Classic Flap. It offers a more understated interpretation of Chanel’s signature flap bag.

Q: What size is this 2.55 Reissue 227?
A: This bag is listed as the maxi variant and measures 31.5 cm wide, 20 cm high and 8.9 cm deep. Use these item-specific measurements when comparing it with other Reissue sizes, as dimensions quoted elsewhere may vary.

Q: What can I fit inside this bag?
A: Its dimensions suggest room for everyday essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys and a small make-up pouch. Actual capacity depends on the size of your belongings and how you arrange them beneath the inner flap. Laptop fit has not been confirmed, and the bag should not be overfilled.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The Reissue chain allows different carrying arrangements, but a comfortable crossbody fit depends on your height, build and clothing. The listed strap measurement for this item is 27 cm; an extended single-chain measurement is not provided, so crossbody suitability cannot be guaranteed.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: Double flap means the bag has an outer flap and a second inner flap covering the main compartment. The inner flap provides an additional layer of coverage and helps support the bag’s shape.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned bag in?
A: This bag is in Very Good Condition. The exterior has minor rubbing on the corners, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What colour is this bag, and where was it made?
A: This particular bag is burgundy and was made in France, according to the product information.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: The product information lists a dust bag and a serial number tag. A box and authenticity card are not listed as included.

Q: How should I care for and store this bag?
A: Avoid overfilling the bag and protect it from prolonged sunlight, heat and humidity. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store it upright in its dust bag, with tissue paper covering the chain to prevent contact marks. For stains or material-specific treatment, seek advice from CHANEL before applying cleaning products.
