ChanelSmall Lady Braid Flap Bag

Q: What fits inside this Chanel Small Lady Braid Flap Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 24 x 14 x 5 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, cardholder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick and a few small personal items. It is a compact shoulder bag rather than a large everyday carryall, so bulkier items may not fit comfortably.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This piece has an approximate strap drop of 18 cm, so it is generally best worn on the shoulder or carried tucked under the arm. For most people, that drop is too short for comfortable crossbody wear.

Q: Is this an authentic vintage Chanel bag?
A: Yes. Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully checked for authenticity by in-house experts. This bag also comes with product information showing a serial number tag, and the listed serial range corresponds to production from 2006 to 2008.

Q: What does the serial number range mean?
A: The serial number begins with 11, which places this bag in the 2006 to 2008 production period according to the product data. For vintage Chanel bags, the serial range is one useful dating clue alongside construction, hardware and overall details.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item includes product information showing a serial number tag. If any additional extras such as a box, dust bag or authenticity card are not listed in the product information, they should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is listed as Very Good Condition. The exterior shows some discolouration and scuffs, the interior is rated very good, the hardware is shiny with scratches, and there is a vintage smell noted both externally and internally. Please review the product information and images closely for the most accurate impression of wear.

Q: Is a vintage smell normal in older Chanel bags?
A: Yes, a vintage storage smell can occur in older pre-owned bags, especially those that have been stored for long periods. Sensitivity varies from person to person, so if this is important to you, it is worth taking the condition notes into account before purchasing.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel flap bag like this?
A: Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep it lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape, avoid overfilling, and handle the bag with clean hands. For routine care, wipe gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, water exposure and abrasive contact that could worsen scuffs or wear on the leather and hardware.
