Christian DiorTrotter Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Christian Dior Trotter Tote Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 25 x 23 x 7 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and a small cosmetics pouch. It is a compact tote rather than a large work bag, so packing light will help keep the shape looking its best.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: The dual rolled handles have an approximate drop of 12 cm, so this style is usually most comfortable carried in the hand or on the crook of the arm. Depending on your frame and outerwear, it may sit too close to the shoulder for an easy over-the-shoulder fit.

Q: Will it fit A4 documents or a laptop?
A: No, not comfortably. This small tote is better suited to compact everyday items rather than A4 paperwork, tablets in bulky cases, or laptops.

Q: Does the bag close securely?
A: This bag has an open top, which makes it easy to reach for your essentials. If you prefer extra organisation or security, using a slim pouch inside is a practical option.

Q: What is special about the Dior Trotter design?
A: The Trotter design is Dior's iconic monogram-style canvas, which gives the bag an unmistakably vintage, logo-led look. Paired with navy leather trim and gold-tone hardware, it has a classic early-2000s Dior feel.

Q: What product information is included with this item?
A: This piece comes with an authenticity card. If any additional product information is not specifically listed on the product page, it should be considered not included.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches consistent with careful vintage wear.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label states Italy.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Dior canvas tote?
A: To preserve the canvas, leather trim, and structure, avoid overfilling the bag, heavy rain, direct heat, and contact with perfume or liquid cosmetics. When not in use, store it empty or lightly stuffed in a breathable bag and keep small items in a pouch to help protect the lining.

Q: How do you authenticate a vintage Dior bag like this?
A: At A Retro Tale, every item is reviewed for authenticity by in-house experts. For vintage Dior pieces, authentication should never rely on a card alone; details such as materials, stitching, hardware, interior labels, and overall construction are all considered together.
