Q: What typically fits inside the Fendi Peekaboo X Tote?
A: With approximate measurements of 41 × 28 × 16 cm (W × H × D), it comfortably carries a 13–14 inch laptop (slim sleeve), A4 documents, tablet, long wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft case, a small cosmetics pouch and a compact umbrella. A 15‑inch laptop may fit depending on its footprint; for certainty, compare your device’s dimensions with our Measurements or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Can I wear it on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: The dual top handles (approx. 20 cm drop) suit hand and crook‑of‑arm carry and may sit on the shoulder for many wearers. Some X Tote editions also feature longer shoulder straps; our listing shows a strap drop of approximately 55 cm. If long straps aren’t visible in our photos or mentioned under “Accessories,” they are not included with this item.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: The Peekaboo X Tote has an open‑top design secured by a central turn‑lock. This piece features a spacious main compartment with green canvas lining and a slip pocket—ideal for everyday organisation. For commuting, keep valuables in a small zip pouch and the bag upright.

Q: What is “Zucca” canvas and how durable is it?
A: “Zucca” refers to Fendi’s iconic FF monogram canvas. It’s a hard‑wearing jacquard textile designed for daily use. Treat corners and leather trim with care, avoid prolonged moisture and abrasive surfaces, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim onto the green canvas and brown leather.

Q: How does the X Tote differ from the classic Peekaboo?
A: The X Tote takes design cues from the Peekaboo family but functions as a tote with a single, central turn‑lock and a more open interior. The Iconic Peekaboo features two turn‑locks and a divided interior with a rigid partition for a more structured, compartmentalised layout.

Q: Does the bag have protective feet on the base?
A: X Tote editions vary by season; some have a smooth base and others may include protective studs. Please refer to our photos to see the base of this exact piece.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This listing is sold as the bag only and is delivered with no accessories (e.g., dust bag, strap or box). If an accessory isn’t mentioned under “Accessories,” it isn’t included.

Q: How is authenticity guaranteed and where are brand markings/codes located?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and serial/microchip elements. Authentic Fendi bags typically feature an interior heat‑stamp and, for most pieces produced after the 1980s, a serial number on or behind a leather tag; some recent models utilise embedded microchips instead of visible codes. Placement can vary—ask us for close‑up photos if you’d like.

Q: Is the Peekaboo X Tote still in production?
A: Availability varies by season and configuration. Certain colours and materials are released intermittently, while others are no longer offered regularly. The pre‑loved market is often the best way to find specific versions like this green Zucca canvas piece.

Q: How should I care for the canvas, leather trim and hardware?
A: Wipe canvas and leather gently with a soft, dry cloth; keep away from water, oils and prolonged sunlight. Condition smooth leather sparingly with a suitable neutral product (test first on a discreet area). Store the bag upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, with the turn‑lock closed and hardware protected from rubbing to minimise hairline scratches.
