HermèsTaurillon Clemence Victoria II Elan 38 Bag

Q: What size is this Hermès Taurillon Clemence Victoria II Elan 38 Bag, and what typically fits inside?
A: This bag measures approximately 38 x 19 x 7 cm, with a strap drop of around 22 cm. Its long, slim Elan shape is ideal for daily essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, small beauty items and other compact necessities. It is best suited to everyday carry rather than larger work or travel packing.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The elongated shape and longer handles make the Victoria Elan 38 well suited to shoulder carry. It is designed as a shoulder bag rather than a crossbody style, and this particular item does not include a detachable strap.

Q: What is Taurillon Clemence leather like?
A: Taurillon Clemence is a soft, supple, grained leather with a relaxed feel and a matte finish. It is loved for its luxurious hand-feel and casual elegance, and the grain generally helps disguise light scratches better than smoother leathers. Over time, it may develop a softer, slightly slouchier silhouette.

Q: Does this bag close securely, and how is the inside organised?
A: Yes. This piece features a top zip closure for secure everyday use. The interior is lined in beige chevron canvas, and the Victoria Elan design is known for practical internal organisation for smaller essentials.

Q: What does the Square Q stamp mean?
A: Square Q indicates a 2013 production year. That matches the serial and date information provided for this bag and is consistent with Hermès blind-stamp dating for pieces made between 1997 and 2014, when the year letter appeared inside a square.

Q: Does this item come with a lock, keys, dust bag or other extras?
A: No. The product information for this item states that no additional inclusions are present. If an extra item is not listed in the product information, it should be assumed not to be included with the bag.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good condition overall. The exterior shows light wear on the corners, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How should I care for vintage Clemence leather?
A: Store the bag lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape, ideally in a breathable dust bag. Avoid overfilling, prolonged direct sunlight, heat, humidity, perfume, ink and rough surfaces. If the leather gets wet, blot it gently with a soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat.
