Louis VuittonVernis Alma PM Bag

Q: What size is this Louis Vuitton Vernis Alma PM Bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag measures approximately 31 cm wide, 23 cm high, and 15 cm deep, with a handle drop of about 9 cm. The Alma PM is a practical day size that offers more room than the smaller BB while keeping the signature structured Alma shape.

Q: What typically fits inside an Alma PM?
A: The Alma PM is generally suited to daily essentials such as a phone, purse, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch, and other compact personal items. With this structured shape and 31 cm width, it can usually accommodate more than an evening bag, but it is not intended as a large tote. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: No shoulder strap is listed in the product information for this item. This piece is designed to be carried by hand or in the crook of the arm using the top handles.

Q: What is Vernis leather, and does it need special care?
A: Vernis is Louis Vuitton’s glossy embossed patent leather. It has a polished, dressy finish and should be handled with a little extra care. Avoid rough surfaces, excessive heat, prolonged sunlight, and harsh cleaning products. For light surface marks, gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards.

Q: Is colour transfer a concern with light-coloured Vernis bags?
A: Yes. This is one of the most frequently mentioned concerns with Vernis leather, especially in lighter shades such as yellow. Dark denim, magazines, coloured leather, and other strongly pigmented materials can transfer colour onto the shiny surface. It is best to store and carry the bag away from dark fabrics and printed materials whenever possible.

Q: How should I store this bag to help preserve its shape and finish?
A: Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep it lightly stuffed with tissue to help maintain the structured Alma silhouette, and avoid pressing it against dark or textured materials that could mark the Vernis surface. If the bag is not being used for some time, make sure the handles and body are not bent or compressed.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this bag includes a padlock, key, and clochette. If you would like to confirm anything further about what is included, please refer to the product information on the listing.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This item is listed in Very Good Condition. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. That means it remains well-presented overall while still showing gentle signs of previous wear, which is normal for a vintage or second-hand piece.

Q: Is the serial number or date code available for this bag?
A: The product information states that the serial number was not found. This can happen on some pre-owned items, especially depending on age, wear, lining changes over time, or where the code is placed. As always, A Retro Tale authenticates its items independently of whether a code is present.
