Q: Will this strap fit my Louis Vuitton bag?
A: The strap attaches using a snap hook clasp at each end. Compatibility with specific bag models is not confirmed in the product information. Check that your bag has suitable strap attachment points that fit the clasps, and contact A Retro Tale if you need help confirming compatibility.

Q: Can I use this strap for crossbody wear?
A: Crossbody suitability is not confirmed for this particular strap. Fit depends on its usable length, your height and build, and where the attachment points sit on your bag. Ask A Retro Tale to confirm the end-to-end length, including the clasps, and compare it with a strap you already find comfortable.

A: Adjustability is not specified in the product information. Please contact A Retro Tale to confirm whether the length can be adjusted before purchasing.

Q: What condition is this Louis Vuitton shoulder strap in?
A: This vintage, pre-owned strap is in very good condition, with light marks and scratches throughout the leather and light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny, with light scratches.

Q: What is this shoulder strap made from?
A: It is made from Vachetta leather with brass hardware and two snap hook clasps.

Q: What colour is the strap, and will it match my bag?
A: The strap is listed as brown. Vachetta leather naturally develops a darker patina over time, so its shade may differ from your bag’s leather trim. Compare the product photographs with your bag before purchasing.

Q: Does the strap come with a handbag, dust bag or box?
A: This listing is for the shoulder strap only. The product information states that no accessories are included, so it does not come with a handbag, dust bag or box.

Q: Where was this Louis Vuitton shoulder strap made?
A: The country of origin is listed as France.

Q: Has this shoulder strap been authenticated?
A: Yes. The product information states that its authenticity has been checked and certified by Kathrine, who has 20 years of experience in vintage and luxury accessories.

Q: How should I care for the Vachetta leather strap?
A: Keep it away from moisture, direct heat and prolonged sunlight, and avoid contact with perfumes, oils and hand sanitisers. If it gets wet, blot it immediately with a light-coloured, lint-free absorbent cloth. Do not use solvents, saddle soap, oils or leather lotions. Store it in a dry, ventilated place away from heat, and seek specialist advice rather than attempting to remove stains yourself.
