Q: What are the measurements and how does it wear on the body?
A: This Classic Mini City measures approximately 24 × 14 × 7 cm, with an 8 cm handle drop and a detachable shoulder strap with about a 53 cm drop. It can be carried by hand with the braided top handles, worn on the shoulder, or crossbody. On petite to average heights it tends to sit at the hip; on taller frames it may sit a little higher when worn crossbody.

Q: What typically fits inside the Mini City?
A: Daily essentials such as a large smartphone, compact or small wallet/cardholder, keys, lipstick, and slim sunglasses fit comfortably. Due to the compact height and curved zip opening, it generally won’t accommodate tablets or a water bottle. Capacity varies with how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page and your own items for the best comparison.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable?
A: The strap on the Classic Mini City is detachable but not adjustable. The drop on this specific piece is about 53 cm. If you prefer a longer drop, some clients use alternative straps; just ensure the clips and width are compatible with the bag’s D-rings. Only the items listed under the product information section are included with this listing.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: As listed under the product information section, this piece comes with a detachable shoulder strap, mirror, brand booklets, and a leather swatch. If an item such as a dust bag or box is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What material and hardware does this bag have, and how should I care for it?
A: It is crafted from grey grained leather with silver-tone hardware. Store it stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Wipe the leather gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow it to air-dry; condition sparingly with a neutral leather cream when needed. Avoid overfilling to preserve the shape and avoid using metal polishes on the hardware.

Q: How does the Classic Mini City differ from newer versions like Neo Classic or Le City?
A: The Classic City is the earlier motorcycle-inspired design with the signature front zip pocket and studded details. Balenciaga later introduced updated lines such as the Neo Classic and relaunched styles under Le City with modernised proportions and construction. This item is from the Classic line, in the Mini size.

Q: Is this bag made in Italy and how can I verify authenticity?
A: Yes—this piece is labelled Made in Italy. Classic City bags typically feature a leather logo tab inside and distinct Balenciaga hardware. At A Retro Tale, every item undergoes a rigorous multi-point authentication by our in-house experts; we are happy to provide additional photos or details on request.

Q: Will a long continental wallet fit?
A: A slim long wallet may fit horizontally, but it will be snug and may limit access to other items. For the most comfortable use, we recommend a compact wallet or cardholder in the Mini size.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: Very good overall. There is scuffing on the corners, light fraying on the handles, and a few scrapes. The interior shows a light trace of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review the photos for a close-up view of all details.
