Q: What typically fits inside this Chain The Pouch?
A: With approximate measurements of 23 × 12 × 6 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a standard smartphone, a compact cardholder or small wallet, keys and a couple of small cosmetics. Slim sunglasses may fit without a hard case. For best results, compare your items to the measurements listed on this page.

Q: Is the chain strap removable or adjustable?
A: Design details can vary by season. Many Chain The Pouch styles feature a fixed shoulder-length chain, while some releases use spring‑ring ends that allow limited reconfiguration or detaching. This item is offered with the single chain shoulder strap shown in our photos; no extra straps are listed in the product information.

Q: Can it be worn cross‑body?
A: The chain on most versions is designed primarily for a snug shoulder carry under the arm. Cross‑body wear may sit high for many users. The strap measurement for this item is approximately 36 cm—please check this against your preferred drop.

Q: Is the chain heavy and comfortable to wear?
A: The chain is intentionally substantial to balance the soft pouch silhouette and give a jewellery‑like look. Most find it comfortable for shoulder or hand carry; as with any metal chain, comfort will depend on what you pack and your outfit’s fabric.

Q: How secure is the closure, and will the magnet affect my cards or phone?
A: It uses a magnetic frame closure that snaps shut for quick and secure access. Magnets can affect the magnetic stripe on some cards if kept in close contact for extended periods, so store stripe cards in a separate wallet section. EMV/contactless chips are generally not impacted. Modern smartphones are not typically affected in normal use.

Q: Does it have interior pockets?
A: The Chain The Pouch is intentionally minimalist with one main compartment and no interior pockets.

Q: How should I care for the beige nappa leather?
A: Nappa is soft and supple. Avoid rain and oils, and keep away from dark denim or saturated fabrics to minimise colour transfer. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth, condition sparingly with a specialist leather product, and store loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag in a cool, dry place. For professional care or repairs, consult a leather specialist.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is stated in the product information on this page. For this piece, no additional items are listed.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, and brand markings. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.

Q: Any storage tips to help it keep its shape?
A: When not in use, empty the bag, place a few sheets of tissue or a soft insert inside to support the gathers, and lay the chain on top separated by a cloth to avoid imprints. Store in a breathable dust bag away from direct light and humidity.
