Q: What fits inside this Chanel Raffia Wallet On Chain?
A: With approximate dimensions 19 × 12 × 3 cm, it comfortably carries essentials such as a smartphone up to about 16 × 7.8 cm, keys, lipstick and folded notes. The built‑in card slots mean you can leave a bulky wallet at home. Capacity varies by case size and how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Will a large smartphone (for example, a “Pro Max” size) fit?
A: Most large smartphones will fit inside the main compartment. If your phone has a thick or rugged case it may be snug; angling the phone or removing a bulky case usually helps. Packing flatter items and using the card slots will maximise space.

Q: Is the strap long enough for crossbody wear, and can it be shortened?
A: The interwoven chain on this piece has an approximate 60 cm drop, which suits crossbody wear on most heights. The strap is not adjustable; however, you can temporarily shorten it by looping the chain once under the flap or using a gentle interior clip. Avoid tight knots or heavy clips that could mark the leather.

Q: Can I wear it as a clutch?
A: Yes. Tuck the chain fully inside to carry it as a clutch. Ensure the chain is flat and not pressing against the raffia to prevent impressions over time.

Q: How durable is raffia for everyday use?
A: Raffia is a natural fibre that is light and resilient but more prone to snags and moisture damage than leather. It’s best suited to fair‑weather days and light loads. Avoid rough surfaces and be mindful of jewellery or fabrics that could catch on the weave.

Q: How should I clean and care for the raffia exterior?
A: Dust gently with a soft brush. For light marks, blot with a barely damp, lint‑free cloth and allow to air‑dry naturally away from heat or direct sunlight. Do not soak or use harsh chemicals. Store the bag lightly stuffed with acid‑free tissue in a breathable dust bag, in a cool, dry place.

Q: What is the interior layout like?
A: Like most Chanel Wallet On Chain designs, it offers a smart, wallet‑style interior with multiple compartments and around six card slots, including zip pockets for small valuables. This layout helps keep essentials organised without needing an additional wallet.

Q: Are the decorative charms on the chain removable?
A: The charms are attached to the chain and are not designed to be removed. Please review our photos for close‑ups before purchase.

Q: What does the serial number beginning with 25 indicate?
A: Chanel used serial number stickers up to 2021. Numbers starting with 25 generally correspond to the late 2010s. As with all our items, this piece has been authenticated by our experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware and stamps.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This item comes with the serial number tag. Everything included is listed in the product information section on this page; if an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.
