Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Flat Cabas New Luggage?
A: With an approximate profile of 32 × 45 × 1 cm, it’s ideal for slim, everyday essentials: smartphone, continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses, a tablet, an A4 diary/document folder and a lightweight 13-inch laptop in a thin sleeve. Because the Cabas is intentionally flat, bulky items (e.g., a water bottle or thick makeup pouch) may print against the leather or distort the silhouette. For a personalised fit check, just ask and we’ll test your item against this exact bag.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: Most 13-inch laptops and many 14-inch models fit dimensionally thanks to the 45 cm width and 32 cm height. The slim 1 cm depth means a low‑profile sleeve is best, and very thick devices/cases may feel snug. Compare your device’s dimensions to the Measurements shown and we’ll happily confirm.

Q: Is it comfortable to carry on the shoulder?
A: Yes—this Flat Cabas has dual long top handles designed for shoulder carry and to sit flat against the body. We list the handle drop under Measurements; if you’d like the exact drape on you (over a coat or knitwear), contact us and we’ll advise or provide a modelling photo.

Q: How secure is the bag?
A: It features a zip‑top main compartment for everyday security. There’s one external zipped pocket for items you need quickly and a suede‑lined interior with a slip pocket for valuables you want to keep separate while commuting.

Q: What are the materials and finish of this piece?
A: This bag is crafted from black leather with gold‑tone hardware and a black suede lining. The combination gives a sleek exterior with a soft, luxe interior feel. Natural leather may show gentle creasing with use; this is part of the character of a soft, unstructured tote.

Q: How should I care for the leather and suede lining?
A: Keep the bag away from heavy rain and oils, and be mindful of potential colour transfer from dark denim onto black leather (and vice versa with lighter clothing). Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth; apply a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner very sparingly and only after testing on a discreet area. For the suede lining, avoid liquids; shake out debris and use a clean, soft suede brush lightly to lift any flattened nap.

Q: How much can it carry—will the shape hold up?
A: The Flat Cabas is designed to be lightweight and streamlined. It carries daily essentials and slim tech beautifully, but overloading with heavy or chunky items can cause the leather to stretch and the silhouette to lose its flat profile. For best results, distribute weight evenly and use a slim organiser or pouch for small items.

Q: Is this model still in production?
A: Availability of Cabas/New Luggage configurations varies by season, and many variations are no longer widely offered at retail. The pre‑loved market is the best way to find specific editions like this black, zip‑top Flat Cabas.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes, and where is this one made?
A: Authentic Céline bags typically feature a “CELINE”/“CELINE PARIS” heat‑stamp and a “Made in” stamp inside, with an internal code whose placement can vary by model and year. This specific piece is labelled Made in France. We’re happy to share close‑ups on request and help with dating details.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: For this listing we include: box, dust bag and care cards (see “Accessories” on this page). Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, examining materials, stitching, hardware, stamps/codes and overall construction—we stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell.

Q: How should I store it to maintain its shape?
A: Store the bag upright and lightly stuffed with acid‑free tissue or a soft pillow, in its dust bag, away from prolonged sunlight and humidity. Avoid hanging it by the handles for long periods, and keep the exterior away from pressure to preserve that sleek, flat silhouette.
