Q: What typically fits inside this small Chanel CC Quilted Camera Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 18 × 17 × 8 cm, it comfortably holds a large smartphone, a small wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, compact, and earphones. Slim sunglasses fit if the case is not bulky. Capacity varies with how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Can I wear it cross‑body?
A: The single strap has an approximate 45 cm drop. On many users this works best as a shoulder bag; on more petite frames it can sit as a high cross‑body. We recommend measuring against a tape at home to visualise where it will sit on you.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or removable?
A: No. This vintage model features a single, fixed‑length shoulder strap that is not adjustable or detachable.

Q: What year is this bag from based on serial number 2765010?
A: A 2‑series Chanel serial number corresponds to approximately 1991–1994. This aligns with the Made in France stamp noted on this piece.

Q: Is the gold‑tone hardware real 24k gold plated?
A: Chanel used 24k gold‑plated hardware on many bags produced before late 2008. Given this is an early‑1990s piece, plating is likely for the era, but we list the hardware as gold‑tone and do not guarantee plating on this specific item—please review the photos and description for condition details.

Q: How secure is the closure and how is the interior organised?
A: It has a magnetic flap closure for quick access. Inside you’ll find beige leather lining with one zipped pocket, plus an external slip pocket for small essentials you need handy.

Q: How should I care for beige lambskin leather?
A: Keep it away from moisture, oils, and dark denim to reduce colour transfer. If the leather shows light marks, gently buff with a soft, clean cloth in small circular motions. Avoid harsh cleaners or conditioners. Store the bag stuffed to maintain shape and in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and heat.

Q: There is a slight vintage scent—can it be reduced?
A: Yes. Air the bag in a cool, dry room and place unscented odour absorbers (such as baking‑soda sachets) nearby but not in direct contact with the leather. Avoid spraying fragrance inside the bag. For persistent odours, a professional handbag spa is recommended.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece comes with the serial number tag as listed. If an accessory (such as an authenticity card, dust bag, or box) is not listed under Accessories, it is not included—feel free to contact us for confirmation.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and serial numbers. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional details on request.
