Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Raffia Tote Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 30 x 20 x 13 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, a cosmetics pouch, and a small water bottle. It may also fit a slim tablet or e-reader, but it is not an ideal size for most laptops or larger A4 work documents.

Q: Can this bag be worn comfortably on the shoulder?
A: Yes. It features dual chain-link shoulder straps with an approximate strap drop of 22 cm, making it suitable for shoulder carry for most wearers. As with many chain-strap bags, it tends to feel most comfortable when carried with lighter daily essentials rather than being overfilled.

Q: Is the top of the bag secure enough for everyday use?
A: This bag has an open top, which makes it easy to access throughout the day. Inside, there is one internal zip pocket, and the included pouches can help keep smaller items organised. For extra peace of mind, valuables are best stored in the zipped compartment or pouches.

Q: How should I care for a white raffia Chanel bag?
A: Raffia and fabric Chanel bags benefit from gentle handling. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, rough friction, and dark materials that may transfer colour. For light surface marks, use a soft dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth and pat dry if needed. Avoid soaking the bag or using harsh chemical cleaners, and store it upright and lightly stuffed when not in use.

Q: Is raffia a durable material for regular use?
A: Raffia is a lovely warm-weather material and can work well for light everyday use, but it is generally more delicate than leather or coated canvas. It is best to avoid heavy loads, abrasive surfaces, and repeated rubbing if you want to preserve the weave, colour, and overall shape over time.

Q: What does the serial number tell me about this bag?
A: This bag has a 6-series Chanel serial number, which corresponds to production circa 2000 to 2002. That aligns with the vintage period listed for this piece. On vintage Chanel bags, the serial sticker helps date the item and is one of several points considered during authentication.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: The product information for this item lists pouches and the serial number. If another item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What condition is this Chanel tote in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The exterior shows discolouration, the inside has a stain, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches, along with light tarnish on the zip. These are typical signs of age and use for a vintage raffia piece and are worth reviewing closely in the product images.
