Q: How many cards does this Chanel card holder fit comfortably?
A: As a slim design with one central compartment and three exterior slots, it typically holds about 4–6 cards without strain. The middle compartment can take a couple of cards or a few folded notes; avoid overfilling to prevent stretching over time.

Q: Will the leather stretch if I overstuff it?
A: Yes. Even durable caviar leather will soften and mould with use. To maintain shape and slot tension, use one card per outer slot and only a few extras in the centre, rather than stacking many cards in a single pocket.

Q: What are the advantages of caviar leather?
A: Chanel’s caviar leather is a pebbled calfskin known for its textured grain, which is more resistant to surface scratches and daily wear than smoother leathers. It’s a practical choice for small leather goods used every day.

Q: How should I care for this vintage caviar card holder?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth; if needed, use a lightly damp, lint‑free cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh cleaners, oils, and prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat, or humidity. Store it empty in a breathable dust bag, away from pressure and sharp objects.

Q: What are the compartments on this specific piece?
A: This card holder features one central compartment and three exterior card slots with a black fabric lining and an embossed CC logo on the front.

Q: Does it fit in mini bags or trouser pockets?
A: Yes. Its compact size (approximately 11 × 7.5 × 0.5 cm) slips easily into most mini bags and standard pockets while keeping essentials organised.

Q: Can it hold coins?
A: It isn’t designed for loose change. Coins may slip out from the open slots, so a zipped coin purse is recommended for carrying cash coins.

Q: Which year is this piece from based on the serial number?
A: The serial number 15598700 falls within Chanel’s 15‑series, dating to around 2012. This aligns with the era before Chanel introduced microchipped metal plates in 2021.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This item comes with its serial number tag. If an authenticity card, dust bag, or box isn’t listed in the Accessories section, it is not included.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this card holder?
