ChanelClassic Wallet On Chain Bag

Q: What are the measurements and strap drop of this Wallet on Chain?
A: This piece measures approximately 19 × 13 × 5 cm with an estimated crossbody strap drop of around 62 cm, as listed in the Measurements on this page. When the chain is doubled, the drop is roughly 23 cm, ideal for shoulder carry.

Q: What typically fits inside a Chanel Wallet on Chain?
A: Essentials such as a smartphone, keys, lipstick, compact, and cards fit best. Many larger smartphones can fit if placed upright or at an angle and without a bulky case. A passport also fits. To protect the structure and closure, avoid overfilling or using thick wallets; use the built‑in card slots instead.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The classic WOC layout includes multiple card slots, a main compartment, a zipped pocket (often on the flap), and slip pockets for small items. There is also an exterior back pocket for quick‑access items like travel cards or receipts.

Q: Is the chain removable or adjustable?
A: The chain is not removable, but it can be shortened by looping it under the flap for a shoulder length, wearing it crossbody at full length, or tucking it completely inside to carry as a clutch. Some owners use a small clip or organiser to fine‑tune the length.

Q: Will an iPhone Pro Max fit?
A: It can fit in many cases, usually without a thick protective case and when inserted upright or slightly angled. Fit varies by phone model and case thickness, so we recommend checking your device against the listed measurements before purchase.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: This model features a magnetic snap‑button flap that keeps contents secure during normal use. As with any compact bag, overstuffing can affect how the flap closes, so pack slimly for the best result.

Q: Is lambskin leather durable and how should I care for it?
A: Lambskin offers a soft, luxurious hand and a refined look, but it is more delicate than grained leathers. Avoid rough surfaces, moisture, and oils; wipe gently with a clean, soft cloth; and store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag. Keep the chain tucked and separated from the leather to prevent imprints.

Q: How does a WOC compare to the Mini Classic Flap in capacity?
A: The WOC is essentially a streamlined wallet with a chain, prioritising slim essentials and cards, while the Mini Classic Flap is deeper and holds slightly more. If you carry only a phone, keys, and small cosmetics, the WOC is usually sufficient; for a small wallet and extras, a Mini may be better.
