Q: What is this bracelet made from?
A: It is crafted from black and white resin with a cut‑out Coco Mark motif in an open cuff design. This style is from Chanel’s Spring 2002 collection.

Q: How does the size fit and what does a 14 cm perimeter mean?
A: The listed perimeter of approximately 14 cm (about 5.5 inches) refers to the inner circumference around the wrist when worn. As a rigid resin cuff with a fixed gap, it generally suits slimmer wrists around that measurement. For best results, measure your wrist at the point a watch sits and compare to 14 cm; a cuff typically feels comfortable when close to your wrist size with a small allowance for the gap.

Q: Can this resin cuff be adjusted or gently bent for fit?
A: No. Resin is rigid with low flexibility, and forcing the cuff open or closed can cause stress cracks or breakage. We recommend slipping it on from the side of the wrist at its narrowest point rather than trying to widen the opening.

Q: How should I put it on and take it off safely?
A: Align the opening with the thinnest part of your wrist (just past the bone), slide it on sideways, and rotate into place. Reverse to remove. Avoid twisting or bending the ends apart.

Q: How do I care for and clean resin and Chanel costume jewellery?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry, lint‑free cloth after wear. Avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions, alcohol, solvents and cleaning agents. Store it separately in a soft pouch, away from humidity and heat. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips.

Q: Will resin yellow or scratch over time?
A: High‑quality resin is durable, but prolonged UV exposure and heat can cause discolouration over many years, and surface scuffs can occur with wear. Limit sun exposure, avoid high temperatures, and store in a cool, dark place to help maintain clarity and colour.

Q: Is this piece authentic and how do you verify the year/collection?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is authenticated by our experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction and stamps. Many Chanel costume jewellery pieces carry an oval signature plaque; for Spring collections you may see season codes such as “02 P” (Printemps). We can share close‑up images of any hallmarks on request.

Q: What exactly is included with the purchase?
A: Everything included is listed under Product information on this page. If a Chanel box, pouch or other extras are not listed there, they are not part of this listing.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower or while swimming?
A: We do not recommend it. Water, chlorine, soaps and heat can dull finishes and may accelerate tarnish on any metal elements. Remove the bracelet before bathing, swimming or exercising.

Q: What does “Very Good. Light trace of use” mean here?
A: The resin remains glossy with minor signs of wear consistent with careful use, and the hardware (if present) shows light surface scratches. Overall, the piece retains an excellent appearance for its age.
