Q: What does Chanel size 75 mean and what waist/hip size does it fit?
A: Size 75 indicates a belt length of approximately 75 cm (around 29.5 inches). On chain belts with a hook clasp, you can secure it at different links for a flexible fit around the natural waist or high hips. For the best result, measure where you plan to wear the belt and allow a few centimetres of adjustment either side.

Q: Is this belt adjustable?
A: Yes. Chanel chain belts typically fasten with a hook to different links, so you can fine‑tune the fit for various outfits and placements.

Q: Can I wear it at the waist, on the hips or over layers?
A: Yes. Chain belts are very versatile: cinch the waist of dresses, sit it lower on tailored trousers, or drape it over knitwear and blazers. Adjust the clasp so it sits securely without pulling the fabric.

Q: Can it be styled as a necklace?
A: Many Chanel chain belts with hook closures can be styled as a necklace if the length allows. At size 75 it may sit as a short necklace on some; check your neck measurement and preferred drop before styling.

Q: What are the key design details and width?
A: This vintage belt features black leather woven through a double gold‑tone chain with a large CC‑logo medallion. The chain width is approximately 2 cm.

Q: What is the condition?
A: Very Good overall with light traces of use. The hardware is shiny with light surface scratches, consistent with gentle wear. Please review the photos for close‑ups.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. This piece is sold without additional items.

Q: How should I care for the leather‑and‑chain and gold‑tone finish?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid moisture, perfumes, lotions and cleaning chemicals, which can dull or discolour the finish. Store it flat or coiled loosely in a soft pouch, separate from other pieces to prevent scratches. For deeper cleaning, consult a leather‑care specialist rather than using metal polishes or harsh cleaners.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate Chanel belts?
A: Our experts perform a multi‑point inspection of materials, construction, chain and clasp, engravings or signature plaques, weight and finishing. On vintage pieces, authentic Chanel signatures may include discreet plaques or stamps that can help date the item by season and year. We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell.

Q: Where was this belt made and is it vintage?
A: Country of origin is France. This is a vintage Chanel belt, as noted in the product information.
