Q: What are the hallmark features of the Chanel Première Rock watch?
A: Première is Chanel’s first women’s watch, distinguished by its octagonal case, a black‑lacquered dial, and a crown set with an onyx cabochon. The Rock version is worn like jewellery, with a triple‑row chain bracelet interwoven with black leather and a high‑precision quartz movement.

Q: What size is “M” in the Première Rock and will this piece fit me?
A: Chanel’s current size guide indicates that the triple‑row Iconic Chain in size M generally suits wrists around 16.0–16.4 cm. However, vintage pieces are often pre‑sized. This specific watch is currently sized to fit a wrist of approximately 14 cm or smaller as noted on this page. Lengthening would require sourcing additional links and leather, which are not included. We recommend measuring your wrist and contacting us if you need advice on fit.

Q: Can the triple‑row bracelet be adjusted?
A: Minor reductions are usually possible by removing chain sections and refitting the interlaced leather. Increasing the size requires extra links and leather to keep the pattern continuous, which can be challenging to source for vintage models. Chanel boutiques or experienced watchmakers can perform sizing and leather ribbon replacement.

Q: What is the case size of the Première Rock?
A: Première Rock references typically feature a petite rectangular case in the ~19.7 × 15.2 mm to ~23.6 × 15.8 mm range, depending on the exact model. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for this specific piece.

Q: Is this watch water‑resistant? Can I shower or swim with it?
A: Many Première Rock references are rated to 30 m (3 bar). In practice, 30 m is suitable for light splashes and rain only; it is not recommended for showering, swimming, or submersion. Always have the gaskets and water‑resistance checked after any battery change, especially on vintage pieces.

Q: What movement does it use and how often will the battery need replacing?
A: It uses a high‑precision quartz movement. Battery life varies by model and use; Chanel notes typical intervals of around 2–7 years. When the battery is replaced, a professional should also renew gaskets and test water‑resistance.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑plated hardware and leather‑interlaced chain?
A: Wipe surfaces gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive polishes or harsh chemicals that can thin gold plating. Keep the leather ribbon dry and away from lotions or perfumes. Store the watch separately to prevent scratches, and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or heat.

Q: Is the Première Rock suitable for daily wear?
A: Yes—many owners wear it as a chic daily dress watch. For the best longevity, treat it like fine jewellery: avoid impact, sports, and water exposure, and keep the leather and gold‑plated surfaces clean and dry.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
