Q: What are the main design details of this Christian Dior brooch?
A: This vintage brooch is crafted in gold-tone metal with clear rhinestone embellishments. It features a cactus design with dangling C and D letter charms and fastens with a classic pin closure.

Q: What size is this brooch?
A: It measures approximately 4.5 cm in height, 2 cm in width and 0.3 cm in depth. Its compact size makes it easy to wear on a lapel, collar, scarf or knit without feeling too heavy.

Q: What condition is the brooch in?
A: The overall condition is Very Good, with light traces of use. The metal remains shiny and shows light surface scratches consistent with careful vintage wear.

Q: How can I style a brooch like this?
A: A brooch of this size works beautifully on a blazer lapel, coat collar, fine knit, scarf or even a structured hat or bag strap. The gold-tone finish and clear stones make it easy to pair with both neutral and darker colours.

Q: Is the pin fastening suitable for regular wear?
A: Yes, it has a traditional pin fastening that is best suited to fabrics with a little structure, such as wool, denim, tweed or tailoring. On delicate silk or very open knits, it is best to fasten it through a reinforced area to reduce strain on the fabric.

Q: How should I care for vintage rhinestones and gold-tone metal?
A: Wipe the brooch gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store it separately in a dry place. Avoid water, perfume, hairspray, lotions and abrasive cleaners, as moisture and chemicals can dull the finish and affect vintage rhinestones.

Q: Can vintage Dior brooches be authenticated?
A: Yes. Dior jewellery is commonly assessed through its hallmark, construction quality, stone setting, hardware and overall finish, although markings can vary by era. Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by in-house experts for authenticity.

Q: Does this piece come with any original box or additional items?
A: No, this item comes with no original box or additional items included. If you would like confirmation of what is included before purchase, please feel free to contact us.

Q: Is this brooch a good choice for collectors?
