Q: What makes this Daniel Arsham Newspaper Saddle Bag special?
A: It is part of Dior Men’s Spring/Summer 2020 collaboration with artist Daniel Arsham, featuring a vintage-inspired newspaper motif on white grained calfskin, an adjustable strap with an industrial-style buckle, matte light-toned hardware and the signature Saddle flap with magnetic D stirrup. The piece was produced for a limited season and is now a sought-after collectible.

Q: What are the measurements and what typically fits inside?
A: Approx. 27 × 20 × 4.5 cm (W × H × D). It comfortably holds a large smartphone, compact wallet or cardholder, keys, and small essentials like lip balm or earbuds. Due to the curved profile and slim depth, it is not designed for tablets, water bottles or bulky pouches—packing flat items works best.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. The integrated shoulder strap is adjustable and designed for crossbody or shoulder wear. The strap drop is up to approx. 42 cm based on our measurement, allowing a comfortable fit on most frames.

Q: How does the bag close and what pockets does it have?
A: The Saddle flap secures with a magnetic D stirrup closure for quick access. This edition also features one external back pocket for slim items you need within easy reach.

Q: Is the newspaper print durable?
A: The motif is applied to grained calfskin, which is hardy for day-to-day use. To keep the print crisp, avoid abrasion against rough surfaces, alcohol-based cleaners, and prolonged contact with dark or newly dyed fabrics that may transfer colour. Store it stuffed and protected when not in use.

Q: How should I care for white grained calfskin?
A: After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For light marks, use a barely damp, lint-free cloth and let it air dry—avoid soaking the leather. Use a colourless leather protector sparingly and keep away from oils, hand sanitiser and perfumes. Store in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and heat, with light stuffing to maintain shape.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: It is stamped Made in Italy, in line with Dior’s production for this model and season.

Q: Does this listing include any extras?
A: Everything included is shown under Product information on this page. If an item (e.g., dust bag) is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this item and does it have a date code?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is checked by our in-house experts using multi-point inspection and a trusted third‑party authentication tool. Most Dior bags carry a date code on a small leather tab inside; format and placement vary by model and year. We can share additional photos or details on request.

Q: Is this style unisex?
A: Yes. Although released under Dior Men, the Saddle’s proportions and adjustable strap make it an easy, genderless crossbody for everyday wear.
