Q: What typically fits inside the Goyard Malesherbes Card Wallet?
A: It was designed with business cards in mind and comfortably holds a small stack of cards, plus a few folded banknotes or receipts in the main compartment. Exact capacity depends on card thickness, but it’s ideal for streamlined carry rather than bulk storage.

Q: Does this vintage piece have multiple slots or a coin compartment?
A: This example features one main compartment with a flap closure and no dedicated coin pocket. If you prefer extra slots, consider using a slim card sleeve alongside it.

Q: Will banknotes fit without folding?
A: Given the compact size (approx. 10 × 7.5 × 2 cm), most banknotes will need to be folded once before placing them inside the main compartment.

Q: What materials is it made from, and is it waterproof?
A: The exterior is Goyardine coated canvas with leather trim and a leather-lined interior. While the canvas is coated, it is not intended to be fully waterproof—avoid prolonged contact with water and, if it gets wet, gently dab dry with a soft, lint‑free cloth.

Q: Any special care tips for the yellow colour?
A: Lighter colours can be more susceptible to colour transfer. Avoid friction against dark or unstable dyes (e.g., new denim or dark leather) and store the wallet away from humidity and direct light, ideally in a dust bag when not in use.

Q: How many cards can it hold comfortably?
A: As a guide, it suits a small stack such as several business cards or a handful of plastic cards without overstuffing. To preserve the leather and structure, avoid forcing additional cards once it feels snug.

Q: Is it suitable for a front pocket or blazer pocket?
A: Yes. Its slim, compact form factor slips neatly into most front trouser or blazer chest pockets for everyday use.

Q: Does it come with any accessories?
A: No accessories are included with this item. Everything provided is listed on the product page; if an item like a box or dust bag isn’t listed, it is not included.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: This wallet was made in France, as indicated on the item’s origin label.

Q: How do you authenticate this wallet?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is inspected by in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, stamps and overall craftsmanship. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional details or photos on request.
