Q: What size is this Hermès Cheval Keyring?
A: This piece measures approximately 4.5 x 4.5 cm, so it is a compact keyring that also works well as a small decorative charm. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact listed dimensions.

Q: Can it be used as both a keyring and a bag charm?
A: Yes. The Cheval design is small enough for everyday keys, but it can also be styled on a handbag or pouch for an understated Hermès touch.

Q: What does “Cheval” mean?
A: “Cheval” is French for “horse”, which reflects Hermès’ long-standing equestrian heritage. This design is shaped as a refined horse motif, giving the piece a distinctive signature look.

Q: How does the closure work?
A: This keyring features a screw-lock closure. That means the ring opens and closes by twisting, which many buyers prefer because it feels more secure than a standard split ring when fitted properly.

Q: What condition is this keyring in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with gentle vintage wear and typical for a pre-owned metal piece.

Q: Is light wear normal on a vintage Hermès metal keyring?
A: Yes. Fine surface scratches and minor signs of handling are common on vintage metal keyrings, especially on polished finishes. In this case, the listed wear is light rather than heavy.

Q: How should I care for this piece?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after use and keep it away from moisture, perfume, abrasive cleaners and rough contact with other metal items. Storing it separately when not in use will help minimise further scratching and keep the finish looking smart.

Q: Does it come with a box or any extras?
A: No. This listing is for the keyring itself and notes that no additional product information is included.

Q: Where was this item made?
A: This particular piece is listed as made in France.
