Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Belmont Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 40 x 28 x 14 cm, this is a roomy everyday bag. It should comfortably hold a purse, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch, a small water bottle and a tablet or slim notebook. If you plan to carry a laptop, we recommend comparing its exact measurements with those listed on this page.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This Belmont has dual top handles as well as a detachable shoulder strap, so it can be carried by hand, on the arm or on the shoulder. With a listed strap drop of around 30 cm, it is best suited to shoulder wear rather than a true crossbody fit.

Q: Does the bag close securely?
A: Yes. This model features a top zip closure, which gives more security than an open tote and helps keep your belongings protected during everyday use.

Q: How is the inside organised?
A: The interior is lined in burgundy and includes internal pockets for organising smaller essentials. This is useful for keeping items such as keys, cards, receipts or a phone separate from the main compartment.

Q: Is Damier Ebene canvas a practical choice for everyday use?
A: Yes. Damier Ebene coated canvas is widely appreciated for everyday wear because it is structured, durable and relatively easy to maintain. It is a practical choice if you want a classic Louis Vuitton look with a material that is generally lower-maintenance than more delicate finishes.

Q: How should I care for this bag?
A: For coated canvas, Louis Vuitton advises gentle cleaning with a soft damp cloth and a little soapy water. Avoid perfume, alcohol-based products, oils, leather lotions and harsh chemicals, and store the bag in a breathable dust bag when not in use to help preserve its shape.

Q: What is included with this particular item?
A: According to the product information for this listing, the bag comes with a dust bag, detachable shoulder strap, clochette and keys. If you would like confirmation of any specific included item, please contact us before purchase.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition overall, with light traces of use on the exterior and interior. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage and second-hand pieces, gentle signs of previous wear are normal and part of the bag’s character.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by in-house experts using a multi-point review of materials, craftsmanship, stitching, hardware, stamps and date codes. We stand behind the authenticity of the pieces we sell.
