Q: What typically fits inside the Néo Alma PM?
A: With approximate measurements of 35 × 24 × 15 cm and a dome-shaped opening, it comfortably holds an 11-inch tablet, long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and a small cosmetics pouch, plus an A5 notebook. An A4 folder or a 13-inch laptop does not fit comfortably. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: The shoulder strap on this model has an approximate 42 cm drop. On most heights this wears best as a short shoulder bag rather than a true crossbody, where it may sit quite high on the torso.

Q: Is the strap detachable or adjustable on this piece?
A: This item includes a detachable shoulder strap as listed in the product information. Strap designs can vary by season; for this specific piece, please refer to the photos and Measurements. The measured strap drop is approximately 42 cm.

Q: Does the bag have protective base feet?
A: Yes, the Néo Alma PM features four metal feet to help protect the base when set down.

Q: What leather is this and how should I care for it?
A: Monogram Empreinte is grained cowhide leather embossed with the LV motif. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow to dry naturally, keep away from oils/solvents and direct heat, and store loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag to maintain shape. Light-coloured clothing may transfer dye; avoid prolonged contact with dark textiles.

Q: Is it rain-safe?
A: Empreinte leather is durable and more resilient than untreated vachetta, but it is not waterproof. If it gets wet, blot gently and let it air-dry. Repeated heavy exposure to rain or moisture should be avoided.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: As detailed in the product information, this piece comes with a detachable shoulder strap, padlock, key and clochette.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag, and why might the serial number be illegible?
A: Louis Vuitton used heat-stamped date codes for many years; from 2021 the brand introduced hidden NFC microchips instead of visible codes. A Retro Tale authenticates every item using expert multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware and stamps, so an older bag with a worn/illegible code can still be confidently verified.

Q: Where was this one made?
A: The country-of-origin label states France for this item. Louis Vuitton manufactures in several countries, so authentic pieces may be made in France, Italy, Spain, the USA and others.

Q: How does the Néo Alma PM differ from the classic Alma PM?
A: The Néo Alma PM is typically crafted in soft Monogram Empreinte leather with a removable shoulder strap and a microfiber (suede-like) interior, whereas the classic Alma PM is commonly seen in coated Monogram canvas with natural leather trim and is primarily carried by hand (strap options vary by model and season).
