Q: What typically fits inside the Alma BB?
A: Despite its compact profile, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a large smartphone, a compact wallet/cardholder, keys, lipstick, and sunglasses in a soft pouch. Capacity depends on how you pack; please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size (approx. 24 × 17.5 × 11.5 cm).

Q: Will an iPhone Pro Max or other large smartphone fit?
A: Yes, most 6.7-inch class smartphones fit upright. Very bulky cases may make the opening snug, so you might need to angle the phone or remove the case for the smoothest access.

Q: Can I wear it cross-body and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. This piece has a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap listed at approximately 90 cm. Cross‑body drop will vary by your height and how you adjust it. Earlier or different editions of the Alma BB may have non‑adjustable straps, but this item’s strap is adjustable as stated in our product information.

Q: Does the Alma BB have protective feet and a structured base?
A: Yes. The Alma design includes a structured base with four protective metal studs to help the bag stand and reduce wear on the bottom.

Q: What’s the difference between the BB and the PM sizes?
A: The BB is the petite, cross‑body‑friendly size ideal for essentials and evening wear. The PM is a larger, primarily handheld/shoulder option that fits more (for example, a long wallet and extra items) and feels roomier for daytime use.

Q: How should I care for the Monogram canvas and Vachetta leather?
A: Wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Vachetta is untreated and develops a natural patina; keep it away from water, oils, and alcohol-based products. If it gets wet, blot gently with a soft cloth and let it air‑dry away from heat or sunlight. Consider consulting a specialist for deeper cleaning. Store stuffed lightly in a breathable dust bag to maintain shape.

Q: The listing notes a patina and watermarks on the Vachetta. Is this normal for vintage pieces?
A: Yes. Vachetta darkens and may show watermarks over time; this natural patina is typical for vintage Louis Vuitton and part of the material’s character. Please review our photos and condition notes for this specific bag.

Q: Does this bag have a date code or a microchip?
A: Vintage Louis Vuitton often features a heat‑stamped date code. From around March 2021 the brand moved to embedded microchips instead of visible date codes, so some newer pieces have no code. Regardless of format, every item we sell is authenticated by our experts before listing.

Q: What items are included with this bag?
A: Please see the product information section on this page. For this piece, it lists a padlock, clochette and a detachable shoulder strap. If something (such as keys or a dust bag) is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How do I use the padlock with the Alma BB?
A: Align the two zipper pulls at the end of the double zip closure and secure them together with the padlock. When not in use, the padlock can be stored on the key bell (clochette) to avoid misplacing it.
