Q: What fits inside the Pochette Florentine?
A: With approximate measurements of 16 × 10 × 4 cm, it comfortably holds a large smartphone (slim case recommended), a cardholder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick and wireless earbuds. Full‑length continental wallets and bulky sunglasses generally do not fit. Please compare your items with the Measurements listed for this exact piece.

Q: Is the belt adjustable and what waist sizes might it fit?
A: Yes. This piece includes a detachable, adjustable leather belt noted at approximately 90 cm in length. Fit depends on the placement of the snap holes; as a guide, a 90 cm belt typically suits many small‑to‑medium waists. If you’d like an exact hole‑to‑hole measurement and the tightest/loosest settings, just ask and we’ll confirm for you.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody or as a mini clutch?
A: The Florentine is designed as a belt/bum bag, but it can be styled as a small clutch by removing the belt. Many owners also thread a slim, narrow strap through the rear loops to wear it as a high crossbody; ensure any third‑party strap is sufficiently thin to pass through the loops comfortably.

Q: Can I use my own belt with the pouch?
A: Possibly—if the belt is very slim. The rear loops are designed for the Florentine’s skinny strap with snap studs; most standard trouser belts are too wide. Narrow belts around 1–1.2 cm often work best, but please check your belt against the loop width before use.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior like?
A: It features a magnetic flap for quick access. Inside, you’ll find a single open compartment lined in beige microfibre/Alcantara‑type fabric—ideal for organising with a small pouch if you prefer added separation.

Q: Is the Pochette Florentine still produced?
A: This style is generally discontinued and most examples are found on the pre‑loved market. Availability varies by colour and belt size, so listings can be sporadic.

Q: What does the date code FL0061 indicate on this item?
A: Louis Vuitton used letter‑and‑number date codes on vintage pieces. “FL” denotes a French workshop. The digits “0061” indicate month and year, placing production in June 2001 for this piece.

Q: How should I care for the vachetta leather and monogram canvas?
A: Vachetta leather is untreated and will develop a honey patina. Keep it away from water, oils and dark denim to avoid stains and colour transfer. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and condition very sparingly with a suitable neutral product (patch‑test first). The monogram coated canvas can be gently wiped with a slightly damp, lint‑free cloth; avoid harsh cleaners and alcohol‑based products. Store lightly stuffed, upright, in a breathable dust bag and away from direct sunlight.

Q: How do I clean the Alcantara/microfibre lining?
A: Start dry: use a soft brush, lint roller or low‑suction vacuum to lift dust. For small marks, dab with a barely damp cloth and a mild soap solution, blotting rather than rubbing, then allow to air‑dry. Avoid over‑wetting to preserve the nap.

Q: What accessories are included and how is authenticity guaranteed?
A: This listing includes the detachable belt noted under “Accessories.” Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts—we stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
