Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Murakami Petit Noé Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 26 x 25 x 18 cm, it is a practical everyday size for essentials such as a large phone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and an A5 notebook. A small water bottle may also fit depending on how you pack, but larger tablets, laptops and A4 documents will be too large.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: This model is best suited to shoulder wear. The single adjustable strap on this item has an approximate drop of 25 cm, which usually sits comfortably on the shoulder rather than across the body.

Q: What makes the Murakami version of the Petit Noé special?
A: This bag features the white Monogram Multicolore canvas from the celebrated Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collaboration. The vivid multicolour motif became one of the defining luxury designs of the early 2000s, and original vintage Murakami pieces remain especially sought after by collectors.

Q: Is the Petit Noé based on the original Louis Vuitton Noé design?
A: Yes. The Noé design dates back to 1932, when it was originally created to carry champagne bottles. The Petit Noé keeps the signature bucket shape and drawstring closure of the original in a more compact, everyday format.

Q: What does the date code CA1097 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this period are production codes rather than unique serial numbers. CA1097 indicates a 2007 production date, and on Petit Noé bags the code is often found stamped on the strap near where it attaches to the bag. As always, the date code is only one part of the overall authentication process.

Q: How should I care for white Multicolore canvas and vachetta leather?
A: Handle it gently and keep it away from rain, dark denim and other highly pigmented materials that may cause colour transfer. If the leather gets wet, blot it immediately with a soft light-coloured cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, oils and home remedies, and store the bag in a ventilated area away from heat and direct sunlight.

Q: Is patina on the leather normal for this bag?
A: Yes. Natural vachetta leather is untreated, so it will darken and develop patina over time. On this particular item, the leather already shows visible patina along with watermarks and scuffing, which is consistent with age and use on vintage Louis Vuitton pieces.

Q: Are there any condition details I should know before buying?
A: This item is listed in Very Good condition. The main points noted are visible patina to the vachetta leather, watermarks and scuffing on the base and trim, splitting on the drawstring, light traces of use inside, and shiny brass hardware with light scratches.

Q: Does this bag have extra pockets?
A: Yes. In addition to the main drawstring compartment, this version has two side pockets with buckle closures. They are useful for slimmer items, while larger valuables are best kept inside the main compartment.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: No additional items are included with this piece. Please refer to the product information on this page for the exact contents of this listing.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is checked by in-house experts using multiple authentication points such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps and date-code consistency. This helps ensure the bag matches the correct model, era and craftsmanship expected for an authentic Louis Vuitton piece.
