Q: What movement does this Omega De‑Ville Prestige use?
A: It is powered by Omega’s Co‑Axial calibre 2500 automatic movement, featuring hours, minutes, central seconds and a date display. The calibre is known for its reduced‑friction Co‑Axial escapement and has an approximate 48‑hour power reserve.

Q: Is this model a certified chronometer and how accurate is it?
A: Yes. The reference 4574.50.00 is a chronometer‑rated watch. COSC’s chronometer standard typically allows an average daily rate of around −4 to +6 seconds per day in testing conditions.

Q: What are the case dimensions and lug width?
A: The case measures 36.5 mm in diameter. The distance between the lugs is 19 mm, which makes it easy to fit most 19 mm leather or textile straps if you prefer a strap over the bracelet.

Q: Is the crystal scratch‑resistant?
A: Yes. The watch uses a sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment, offering excellent scratch resistance for daily wear.

Q: What is the water resistance and can I swim with it?
A: The watch is rated to 30 metres. Omega advises that, provided the seals are intact and the crown is fully secured, it can be used for surface swimming to its rated depth. Avoid hot showers, saunas and operating the crown under water, and have the water resistance checked annually.

Q: Is the watch automatic or quartz, and how do I keep it running?
A: It is automatic. Normal wrist motion will wind it; if it has stopped, a few turns of the crown will start it before wearing. A watch winder is optional for convenience but not required.

Q: Can the bracelet be resized and what wrist size does it fit?
A: Yes, the stainless‑steel bracelet has removable links for sizing. This piece currently fits a 19 cm wrist or smaller. For larger wrists, additional links may be needed; any competent watchmaker or Omega boutique can assist with sizing and sourcing links subject to availability.

Q: Can I swap the bracelet for a strap?
A: Certainly. With a 19 mm lug width, the watch accepts most quality 19 mm straps. We recommend professional fitting to avoid scratching the case.

Q: What is included and what is the condition?
A: This listing is watch only; everything included is detailed in the product information on this page. Condition is Very Good with light traces of use and visible scratches on the case, case back and bracelet—please review the images for a closer look.

Q: When should I service this watch?
A: Omega recommends a complete service approximately every 5–8 years, with a water‑resistance check once a year. Service frequency can vary with use and environment, so follow performance and have it inspected if accuracy or power reserve noticeably change.
