Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Tessuto Shoulder Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 35 × 30 × 15 cm and a zipped main compartment plus one internal zipped pocket, it comfortably holds A4 documents or a notebook, a 13-inch laptop or large tablet, a long wallet, keys, sunglasses case, and a small cosmetics pouch. Actual capacity depends on case thickness and how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or suitable for crossbody wear?
A: This model has a single flat leather shoulder strap with an approximate 29.5 cm shoulder drop. It is not adjustable and is designed for shoulder carry, sitting neatly under the arm rather than as a crossbody.

Q: Is Prada’s Tessuto nylon waterproof?
A: Tessuto nylon is highly durable and water-resistant, but not fully waterproof. It will cope well with light rain, but water can still enter through zips and seams. Wipe the bag dry after exposure and avoid soaking or submersion.

Q: How should I clean and care for the nylon and leather trim?
A: For the nylon, wipe gently with a soft damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then blot and allow to air-dry away from heat. Avoid bleach, harsh solvents, or machine washing. For the leather trim, use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly and keep away from prolonged moisture. Store the bag lightly stuffed with acid-free tissue in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is vetted by in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, plaques, lining, and overall construction. Typical Prada nylon hallmarks include a crisp triangle logo plaque with Milano and Dal 1913, quality hardware, and on many models a jacquard logo lining with a rope motif. Many authentic pieces from later eras also include a small white factory tag with 2–3 numbers; presence and placement can vary by model and year. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The listing indicates no additional items are included. Everything that comes with the bag is always listed in the product information section on this page; if something isn’t listed there, it is not included.

Q: Can I use it in the rain or should I apply a protector?
A: Occasional light rain is fine—just wipe dry afterwards. If you wish to use a fabric protector, choose one formulated for nylon, test on an inconspicuous area first, and reapply occasionally. Avoid oversaturating the fabric and keep products away from the leather trim.

Q: The strap shows cracking—can it be repaired?
A: Yes. A professional leather repair specialist can usually perform edge restoration or strap refurbishment; costs depend on the work needed. We do not recommend DIY glues or paints, as they can worsen damage.

Q: What is the interior layout?
A: The bag features a top zip closure, black nylon lining, and one internal zipped pocket—ideal for valuables you want to keep secure and separate.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country-of-origin label indicates Italy.
