ChanelCambon Ligne Tote Bag

Q: What size is this Chanel Cambon Ligne Tote Bag, and what typically fits inside?
A: This bag measures approximately 30 x 25 x 15 cm, making it a practical everyday tote. It should comfortably hold daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, a small cosmetic pouch and a compact tablet. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this tote be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. It features dual knotted leather shoulder straps with an approximate handle drop of 22 cm, which is generally suitable for shoulder carry as well as carrying by hand, depending on your frame and outerwear.

Q: What are the main design details of this bag?
A: This Chanel Cambon Ligne Tote Bag is crafted in beige quilted leather with a black leather CC appliqué, finished with silver-tone hardware. It also features black CC jacquard lining, internal zip pockets and an exterior rear slip pocket.

Q: Is the Chanel Cambon Ligne still in production?
A: The Cambon Ligne is widely regarded as a discontinued Chanel line, which is one reason it remains popular on the pre-owned market. Its bold oversized CC logo and contrast details make it a distinctive vintage Chanel style.

Q: From what year is this bag?
A: Based on the serial number series provided in the product information, this bag dates to approximately 2004 to 2005. That places it firmly within the vintage Chanel era for the Cambon Ligne collection.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This item is listed in Very Good Condition, with light traces of use externally and internally. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful previous wear.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: Included items are listed in the product information and for this bag include a dust bag, authenticity card and serial number tag. If something is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How do I care for vintage quilted leather and the jacquard lining?
A: To help preserve the bag, wipe the leather gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid overfilling, and keep it away from direct heat, rain and prolonged sunlight. Store it in a breathable dust bag and lightly stuff it when not in use to help maintain its shape. The interior lining should be kept clean and dry, and hardware should be handled carefully to minimise further scratching.

Q: How can I tell if a Chanel Cambon Ligne bag is authentic?
A: Authenticity should never be judged by one detail alone. Buyers usually look at the quality of the leather, stitching, quilting alignment, hardware, interior label details and serial sticker consistency. This item also comes with supporting product information, and every item sold by A Retro Tale is professionally authenticated before listing.
