ChanelCC Quilted Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel tote bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 31 × 25 × 10.5 cm, it is best suited to day-to-day essentials such as a long wallet, phone, sunglasses case, keys, a cosmetics pouch and a slim notebook or small tablet. For larger items, please compare the exact measurements on this page before purchasing.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. It is designed as a shoulder tote with dual chain and leather shoulder straps. The listed strap measurement is 36 cm, so we recommend comparing that figure with a bag you already own to judge the fit you prefer.

Q: Is this bag vintage?
A: Yes, this is a vintage Chanel piece. The bag is listed as vintage, and the serial number format is consistent with older Chanel production. As with many vintage Chanel bags, gentle signs of age and use are part of its character.

Q: What does the serial number tell me?
A: The serial number listed for this bag is 2971526. On vintage Chanel bags, the serial number is one of the details used to help date and authenticate the piece. A 7-digit number in this range is generally associated with the early 1990s, although authentication should always be based on the bag as a whole rather than the number alone.

Q: What condition is the bag in?
A: The overall condition is Very Good Condition. The exterior shows visible marks on the leather, scuffing at the edges and signs of wear around the handles. Inside, there are light traces of use and some marks, while the hardware shows scratches and discolouration.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included with the bag is shown in the product information. For this item, a serial number is listed. If an authenticity card, box or dust bag is not mentioned in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for beige quilted leather?
A: We recommend avoiding overfilling the bag, prolonged sunlight, moisture and colour transfer from darker clothing. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth and store it upright when not in use. Because this is a light beige vintage leather bag, extra care will help preserve the finish.

Q: Is this a practical everyday Chanel bag?
A: It works well for daily essentials and smart day wear, especially if you want a structured vintage tote with classic Chanel styling. If you tend to carry heavier items every day, keep the vintage nature of the bag and the existing wear in mind.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: At A Retro Tale, every item is reviewed for authenticity before sale. With vintage Chanel, experts look at a combination of details such as materials, construction, stitching, hardware, branding and serial number consistency rather than relying on a single feature.
