Q: What fits inside the Chanel CC Quilted Suede Tote?
A: With dimensions of approximately 35 × 25 × 9 cm, this tote offers generous space for your daily essentials. It comfortably holds a large smartphone, a continental wallet, a cosmetics pouch, keys and a tablet (e.g., iPad). A compact 13‑inch laptop may fit, but we recommend checking your device’s measurements against the bag’s width and height to ensure it sits securely.

Q: Can I wear it on the shoulder?
A: The bag features dual suede top handles. With a listed strap measurement of 25 cm, it is typically designed to be worn comfortably on the shoulder or carried in the crook of the arm. Please refer to the Measurements section on this page for the exact drop details of this specific piece.

Q: How should I care for vintage suede?
A: Suede is luxurious but more delicate than pebbled leather. Keep the bag away from water, rain and humidity to prevent staining. We recommend gently brushing the suede periodically with a soft suede brush to remove dust and lift the pile. Avoid prolonged contact with dark denim or other materials that might transfer colour, and store the bag upright in a breathable dust bag away from direct sunlight.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: This model features an open‑top design, allowing for quick and easy access to your belongings. For securing valuables such as your wallet or keys, please use the internal zipped pocket.

Q: What year is this bag from?
A: The internal serial number (6847780) dates this bag to the 2000–2002 production series (Series 6). It is a classic early 2000s vintage piece.

Q: What is the condition of the hardware?
A: This bag features gold‑tone hardware. As noted in the condition report, there are scratches and discolouration present, which is consistent with a vintage piece of this era. Please view the close‑up photos to assess the specific condition of the hardware.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and the serial sticker. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What accessories come with the bag?
A: This specific item includes the internal serial number tag. Other original accessories (such as the authenticity card or dust bag) are only included if listed under the “Accessories” section. If not mentioned there, they are not included.
