ChanelMini Rectangular Single Flap Bag

Q: What are the measurements and strap drop of this Mini Rectangular Single Flap?
A: This specific piece measures approximately 20 × 12 × 7 cm (W × H × D) with a strap drop of about 55 cm as listed on this page. Mini Rectangular flaps typically sit around 20 × 12 × 6–7 cm with a long chain suited to shoulder or crossbody wear.

Q: What typically fits inside?
A: Daily essentials such as a smartphone, slim cardholder, keys and a lipstick. Many users report larger phones like the iPhone Pro Max can fit, ideally with a slim case and minimal extras. It will not accommodate a long continental wallet or any tablet. Packing soft, compact items helps maximise space and protect the shape.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: Yes. The longer chain-and-leather strap is designed for comfortable crossbody wear. On more petite frames it may sit lower on the hip; you can shorten the drop by looping the chain under the flap or by doubling it to wear on the shoulder.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or removable?
A: The strap is fixed and not removable. For a shorter carry, double the chain or tuck a section under the flap. When storing, keep the chain padded inside to avoid impressions on the leather.

Q: What is the difference between single flap and double flap?
A: Single flaps are lighter and offer a little more usable space than double flaps while keeping the same classic silhouette. This makes them practical for carrying essentials without excess weight.

Q: Does an iPhone Pro Max fit in the Mini Rectangular?
A: In most cases yes, especially with a slim case and careful packing. Fit can vary slightly by phone model, case thickness and what else you carry, so we recommend checking your phone’s dimensions against the internal space and avoiding overfilling to preserve the structure.

Q: Is the hardware 24k gold-plated?
A: Many vintage Chanel bags made before the late 2000s were produced with 24k gold-plated hardware. This item is described as gold-tone hardware; please review the photos and product information or contact us if you would like our team to confirm plating details for this exact piece.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. For this piece, the box is included. The interior serial number sticker is present but worn, as noted in the condition report.

Q: How should I care for the leather and preserve the colour?
A: Keep the bag away from moisture and colour transfer from dark textiles. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth only; avoid oils, baby wipes and harsh cleaners. Store upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag. Pad or wrap the chain before tucking it inside to prevent dents on the leather.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, stamps, hardware and serials. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.
