Louis VuittonJewellery Case

Q: What typically fits inside this Louis Vuitton jewellery case?
A: This is a compact jewellery case measuring approximately 10 × 10 × 2 cm, so it is best suited to small essentials such as rings, stud earrings, slim bracelets, and delicate necklaces or pendants. It is ideal for keeping a few favourite pieces organised rather than storing a larger full collection.

Q: Is this jewellery case suitable for travel?
A: Yes. Jewellery cases like this are designed to help protect smaller pieces while travelling and to keep them organised in one place. Its compact size makes it easy to place inside a handbag, suitcase, or carry-on, though we recommend packing delicate chains carefully to minimise tangling.

Q: Will larger items like watches or chunky bangles fit inside?
A: Probably not comfortably. Given the slim 2 cm depth and compact 10 cm square shape, this case is better for flatter and smaller jewellery pieces. Larger watches, wide cuffs, or bulky bangles may be too thick or take up most of the space.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good, and the hardware is described as shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage items, minor signs of previous ownership are normal and part of the character of the piece.

Q: Does this item come with a dust bag, box, or other extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories. If any extras were included, they would be stated in the product information.

Q: What does the code SN1004 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton codes from this era are commonly used to indicate the place and date of production. SN is associated with France, and 1004 typically indicates October 2004. It is worth noting that this is a production date code rather than a unique serial number.

Q: Is the date code enough to confirm authenticity on its own?
A: No. A Louis Vuitton date code is only one part of the authentication process. Authenticity should also be assessed through the materials, craftsmanship, stitching, hardware, interior details, and overall construction. At A Retro Tale, items are professionally vetted before sale.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Louis Vuitton jewellery case?
A: Handle it gently and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. Wipe the exterior carefully with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid overfilling it so the shape stays neat. For vintage pieces, gentle storage and light handling are the best ways to preserve condition.

Q: Is this more of a storage piece or an everyday organiser?
A: Because of its compact size, it works best as a small travel organiser or for storing a few regularly worn pieces. It is a practical option if you want a refined case for selected jewellery rather than a large home jewellery box.
