ChanelClassic Small Jersey Double Flap Bag

Q: What material and colour is this Chanel Classic Small Double Flap Bag?
A: This is the jersey version in navy, rather than an all-leather version. Its country of origin is listed as France.

Q: What are the dimensions of this bag?
A: The supplied measurements are 24 cm wide, 23 cm high and 7 cm deep. Please use these item-specific measurements when judging its size, rather than measurements for other Small Classic Flap bags.

Q: What can I carry inside it?
A: It is best suited to a compact selection of essentials, such as a phone, slim cardholder, keys and lipstick. Actual capacity depends on the size of your belongings and the internal layout; the external measurements do not represent usable interior space. Avoid overfilling or forcing the flap closed.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: The strap measurements are listed as 24/43 cm, providing shorter and longer carrying options. Shoulder wear is the most straightforward option. Crossbody comfort will depend on your height, torso length and clothing, so compare the longer measurement with a bag you already wear comfortably.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: A double-flap bag has an outer flap and a second flap inside, covering the main compartment. This creates a more layered interior than a single-flap design and adds an extra step when accessing your belongings.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The exterior has minor wear on the corners and edge of the flap, while the interior shows light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny, with light scratches and slight discolouration.

Q: Is jersey easy to maintain?
A: Jersey needs careful handling: owners report that it can attract lint and develop pilling where it rubs against clothing. Minimise repeated friction and keep it away from rough surfaces. For stains, seek advice from a CHANEL boutique or a specialist experienced in luxury fabric handbags rather than applying household cleaning products.

Q: Can I use this jersey bag in the rain?
A: Avoid exposing it to rain or prolonged moisture. If it gets wet, gently blot the affected area with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth without rubbing. CHANEL also recommends avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight and artificial light.

Q: How should I store the bag?
A: Store it upright in a suitable protective pouch, away from light and moisture. Wrap the chain or strap in tissue paper to prevent it from marking the bag, and avoid compressing or overfilling it.

Q: What accessories are included, and does it have a serial number?
A: The product information lists a serial number tag, and the recorded serial number is 5705867. A box, dust bag and separate authenticity card are not listed as included; please refer to the product information for the confirmed inclusions.
