PradaFloral Ribbon Barrette Hair Clip

Q: What style is this Prada hair accessory?
A: This is a Prada Floral Ribbon Barrette Hair Clip featuring a floral-print fabric bow, an enamel triangle logo, gold-tone hardware, and a classic barrette clip fastening.

Q: How does the clip fasten?
A: It uses a barrette-style fastening that clips neatly into the hair. This type of closure is ideal for securing a section of hair at the back or side and also works beautifully as a finishing detail on half-up styles.

Q: What are the dimensions of this piece?
A: The measurements for this item are approximately 24 x 17 x 1 cm. As with most decorative barrettes, it is best suited to holding a section of hair rather than replacing a full-grip everyday clip for very thick hair.

Q: Will this barrette work for all hair types?
A: It can be worn with many hair types, but the hold will vary depending on hair thickness and texture. For fine to medium hair, it can secure a section comfortably. For very thick or heavy hair, it may work best as a decorative accent on a smaller section or over a pre-secured style.

Q: How can I help keep the barrette in place?
A: Barrettes usually hold best on lightly textured hair rather than freshly conditioned, very slippery hair. Taking a smaller section, adding a little texture spray, or clipping it over a style already secured with a discreet elastic can help it stay in place more securely.

Q: How should I style a floral bow barrette like this?
A: This piece works especially well with half-up hairstyles, low ponytails, soft waves, and elegant updos. It can also be worn to one side for a more playful statement or at the back of the head for a polished, feminine finish.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition with light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful pre-owned wear.

Q: What is included with the item?
A: The product information states that this item comes with a box and dustbag. If you would like confirmation of everything included, the product information on the page is the best reference.

Q: How should I care for this hair clip?
A: To preserve the fabric bow and hardware, handle it gently, avoid moisture, perfume, and hair product build-up, and store it carefully when not in use. Keeping it in its box or dustbag and avoiding crushing the bow will help maintain its shape and finish.

Q: Is this item authenticated?
A: Yes. A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage and second-hand designer accessories, and all items are vetted before sale.
