Q: What size is this Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Pochette Saint Germain Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 19 cm in width, 12 cm in height and 3 cm in depth, with a strap drop of approximately 53 cm. It is a compact shoulder or crossbody-style bag suited to carrying smaller daily essentials.

Q: What fits inside this bag?
A: The Pochette Saint Germain is best for essentials such as a phone, cardholder, keys, lipstick and other small personal items. As it is a slim style, it is not designed for bulkier items. Please use the measurements on this page as the best guide to expected capacity.

Q: Is this bag made from leather or canvas?
A: This piece is crafted from black Monogram Empreinte leather, which is Louis Vuitton leather embossed with the Monogram pattern. It offers a more refined, structured look than classic canvas while still being practical for everyday use.

Q: Does the bag have interior organisation?
A: Yes. According to the product information, it has a tonal leather lining with card slots and an internal slip pocket. This makes it especially useful for carrying small essentials in an organised way without needing a larger wallet.

Q: How does the bag close?
A: This bag features a front flap with an S-lock closure. The S-lock is one of Louis Vuitton’s signature hardware details and gives the bag a polished, classic finish.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The bag has a single chain shoulder strap with an approximate 53 cm drop, which for many people allows comfortable shoulder wear and may also suit crossbody wear depending on height and preferred fit. We recommend comparing the strap drop with a bag you already own for the most accurate idea of how it will sit on you.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: This item is listed in Very Good condition. The exterior shows light traces of use, the interior has minor scuffs, and the hardware remains shiny with scratches. This means it presents well overall while still showing gentle signs of previous wear, which is typical for a carefully used vintage or second-hand luxury piece.

Q: Are any extras included with this bag?
A: No additional extras are included with this item. The product information states no accessories. If something is not listed in the product information, it should be assumed not to be included.

Q: How should I care for Monogram Empreinte leather and gold-tone hardware?
A: To help preserve the leather, avoid overfilling the bag, moisture, harsh cleaning products and prolonged direct sunlight. Wipe the exterior gently with a soft, dry cloth and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use. Hardware scratches can occur naturally over time, so gentle handling is recommended.

Q: How do you verify authenticity on a pre-owned Louis Vuitton bag?
A: At A Retro Tale, pre-owned luxury items are carefully assessed for authenticity using brand-specific details such as materials, construction, hardware, embossing and other identifying characteristics. This helps ensure the item is represented accurately and sold with confidence.
