Bottega VenetaIntrecciato Capri Small Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Capri Small Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 26 x 17 x 8 cm, this small bag is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, cardholder or small wallet, keys, sunglasses and a few beauty items. It is a compact everyday size rather than a large carryall, so we recommend checking the Measurements on this page to judge capacity for your own essentials.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: The handle drop is approximately 13 cm. Depending on your frame and what you are wearing, that may allow a short shoulder carry, but it is best thought of primarily as a compact hand or close-under-arm style. Please use the measurements provided to decide how you would prefer to wear it.

Q: What is Intrecciato, and why is it special?
A: Intrecciato is Bottega Veneta’s signature woven leather technique and one of the house’s most recognisable design codes. It is prized for its refined, logo-free look and artisanal construction, which gives the bag a timeless and understated luxury feel.

Q: What colour is this bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag is white. As with many vintage and second-hand pieces, the tone may appear slightly warmer or cooler depending on lighting and screen settings.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows wear and discolouration on the handles and light rubbing on the corners. Inside, there is a light trace of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. We always recommend reviewing all photos carefully for the best understanding of the current condition.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this bag comes with a mirror. If another item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Bottega Veneta Intrecciato bag?
A: Intrecciato leather should be handled gently, especially around corners and edges where woven leather can show wear first. Store the bag away from direct sunlight, avoid overfilling it, keep it away from rough surfaces and dark denim to help reduce rubbing or colour transfer, and place it in a breathable storage environment when not in use. For cleaning, use only a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh leather products unless recommended by a specialist.

Q: Is wear on the handles and corners common for this style of bag?
A: Yes, these are among the areas that most often show age and use on woven leather bags. Handles, corners and edges naturally experience the most contact and friction, so light rubbing, softening and some discolouration are common signs of wear on vintage Intrecciato pieces.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product information, this bag was made in Italy, which is consistent with Bottega Veneta’s long-standing Italian leather craftsmanship tradition.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is reviewed for authenticity by specialists, with attention paid to construction, leather quality, weaving, hardware, markings and overall craftsmanship. When buying a pre-owned Bottega Veneta bag, these details are especially important because the brand is known for subtle design rather than prominent logos.
