Bottega VenetaIntrecciato Crossbody Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 34 × 30 × 5 cm, it comfortably holds A4 documents, a diary, chargers, and a tablet up to around 12.9 inches, plus small daily essentials. Slim 13-inch laptops may fit depending on the model and case; please compare your device’s exact dimensions to the measurements listed here.

Q: Will it carry a laptop for work?
A: It is best suited to tablets and most 11–12 inch devices. Some slim 13-inch laptops can fit without a bulky sleeve, but tight models may be a squeeze given the 30 cm width. To protect the Intrecciato weave, avoid overloading and use a thin protective cover if you carry tech.

Q: Is the strap suitable for crossbody wear?
A: Yes. The detachable, adjustable shoulder strap offers up to approximately 70 cm drop, allowing shoulder or crossbody carry on many heights. Dual top handles with a 13 cm drop also provide a comfortable hand or briefcase-style carry.

Q: How durable is Bottega Veneta’s Intrecciato leather?
A: Intrecciato is a hand‑woven leather technique valued for its craftsmanship and flexibility. It is durable in daily use, but the raised weave can show scuffs, colour transfer (for example from dark denim), and wear from abrasion more quickly than smooth leather. Avoid sharp or heavy items and rough surfaces to preserve the weave.

Q: How should I care for and clean this vintage Intrecciato leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use. For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth and allow to air‑dry away from heat. Apply a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner sparingly a few times a year, testing on a discreet area first. Keep away from oils, alcohol‑based cleaners, rain, and prolonged sunlight. Store loosely stuffed in its dust bag in a cool, dry place to maintain shape.

Q: Does the magnetic snap closure affect credit cards or devices?
A: Handbag magnets are generally low strength and do not affect EMV chip cards, but prolonged direct contact can demagnetise the magnetic stripe on some cards. As a precaution, keep cards in a wallet and avoid placing them right next to the closure.

Q: What is included with this piece?
A: As listed in the product information, this bag comes with a dust bag and a detachable shoulder strap. If an item is not stated in the product information, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate a vintage Bottega Veneta bag?
A: Our specialists perform multi‑point checks of materials, weave, stitching, hardware, brand stamps and labels. Bottega Veneta identification details vary by era: some vintage pieces may have style/serial tags, while some newer items use embedded microchips rather than visible codes. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell and can provide further details on request.

Q: Is this style unisex and office‑appropriate?
A: Yes. The minimalist design, black colour and briefcase silhouette make it a refined unisex choice for work or smart casual use, with room for documents and daily essentials.
